Story
We ask you to inquire about adopting Jack only if you are prepared to be stopped when you're out and about with this handsome guy - people won't be able to help themselves from commenting about how gorgeous he is! Truly, he is a conversation starter! Not only that, but Jack is sweet, loving, and highly intelligent, who happens to be an absolute show-stopper with his stunning chocolate and white coat that is sleek and silky. Jack was one of several pups from an unplanned litter that Jack's human mom and dad's dog had. His momma is an Aussie-Doodle, and she's not telling who Jack's daddy is! Because his human dad passed away and his mom works long hours, Jack finds himself in need of a new home. Jack is currently living with his human brother and his family which includes two young children, another dog, and a cat. One-year-old Jack has been loved and well cared for throughout his life. Weighing in at 60 lbs, he is up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, and neutered. Jack's family reports that he is good with the kids (ages 3 years and 18 months) and loves playing with their family dog. He is getting used to the cat but will playfully give chase if the kitty runs. Jack enjoys rides in the car and is crate-trained. Jack's family shares, "He is a very sweet, energetic boy. He will lay down and rest during the day when our other dog does but likes to be near the action and included in whatever you are doing. He enjoys chewing on his Nylabones and is a very typical, loving puppy!" Jack will be ready to come north to be directly adopted in mid-November. Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to become an important, forever part of their life journey by continuing the rehabilitation we have begun. If you would like to be part of Jack's rescue story and are already approved to adopt through SGRR, please contact Cheryl Kewley to be considered to adopt Jack. If not yet approved for adoption, please visit our website to lean more and to submit an online application. Click here to visit our website. Please contact us with any questions regarding your application status. PLEASE APPLY by submitting an application via this online link: Click for Adoption Application About Our Rescue Before being approved to adopt, all potential adopters need to complete our online application and participate in our pre-adoption review process. The process includes the completion of an online application, a reference from the applicants' vet, a phone interview, and a visit to the applicants' home. The application process helps us determine what type of Golden would be best suited for the applicants' life style. In some cases, the specific dog you are interested in may have found a home before this process is complete or further assessment may find that this dog is not the right match for your family. We are regularly getting new Goldens in need of a home, so we encourage you to apply and get approved so that when the right dog comes along you will be ready. The information provided on each dog is based on observations of our vets, volunteers, fosters and when available, trainers. While we do our best to report any and all issues, SGRR does not make any guarantees as to the health or temperament of any dog. Dogs evolve differently in different environments and we cannot predict with any certainty how the dog you adopt will act in your home. Under the terms of the contract, all adopters are required to bring the rescue to a vet within 7 business days. The dogs receive basic veterinary care prior to adoption. If your vet identifies an illness that an adopter is not willing to treat, then the dog is returned and a full refund is provided. Many of our dogs are fostered in private homes and we do not have a facility to visit. We are committed to our dogs before, during, and after adoption! The rescue retains title to the dog and can never be released or sold. Should the adopters no longer be able to keep the dog, SGRR must be notified so that we can take the dog back into rescue and place it into another home. We reserve the right to remove a dog at any time should we find the adopter is no longer caring for their Golden in a way we see fit. Adopters then have to agree to follow up visits as needed. Please be a ray of light for this Sunshine dog and make a tax deductible donation toward medical and other expenses. Every cent of your generosity goes directly toward the care of a Sunshine dog. Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Vida - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello hello to everyone out there. Let me introduce myself. My name is Vida and I'm a happy sweetheart that is wanting a home, a family...one to call my very own. I'm around 8 months and 30lbs. I shouldn't get much bigger in size just maybe some filling out yet. I'm a well balanced social gal that does well with people, both tall and small and also with the other foster pups here. And I also do good with the resident kitty. I'm active, playful and ready to explore...everywhere! Being your typical youngster, I will need both mental and physical stimulation to help keep me a healthy happy girl and keep my puppy shenanigans to a minimum. BUT in return you'll have a most affectionate loyal friend and family member!! I'm already house trained so that lets us get right to the fun stuff!! I also listen really well and training with me is a breeze. I'm super smart and pick up new things quickly! I'd do amazing in an obedience class or maybe a fun one like an agility class. Mom is an Aussiedoodle and Dad is a Husky giving me and my sister, Gidget, the best from both breeds. I get my good looks from my mom's side and Gidget gets hers from our Dad's side. I have tons of love ready to be unleashed on my family! AND I'm big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet. My oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunningly gorgeous good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family? If we could be that perfect fit please fill out my adoption application found at haydudeequine.org
