Story
Meet Barney, a loving Aussie-doodle. He is 4 years old and weighs 37 pounds. He is an active, smart dog who loves attention and snuggling. He is very well trained, understands commands, walks to heel, and is crate trained and potty trained. Because of his energy level, he needs at least two walks a day, but is happy being home and sleeping most of the day. He needs a strong owner that understands dogs and is able to keep structure in his life. He is great with folks that he knows but is insecure outside of the home and with people he doesn't know, and can be reactive if he feels insecure or threatened. When meeting new people, he needs to have slow introductions and does not like when strangers try to pet him. He is great with other dogs, just not puppies, and hasn’t not been around children and it would not be advisable. When he feels overwhelmed or threatened he can be reactive with other dogs but does not attack or bite. He loves to play and being chased. He loves to hike, and absolutely loves and bonds to his person.

Story
This is Mr. Rochester. He will be 7 years old this coming June and has been with us since he was a small pup. Chester is incredibly loyal and will follow you around. He loves to cuddle and listens incredibly well. In his spare time, he loves watching squirrels and enjoys catching tennis balls that are either bounced or tossed up into the air. We need to rehome Chester to a family with no young/small children so he can live his best life!

Story
Simba was surrendered to us the day after Christmas. His owners had kept him in their yard and as the kids grew older they paid less and less attention to him. Shelter Hope took him to the groomers and gave him quite the makeover! The neglect Simba endured physically and emotionally has definitely taken a toll on him. We have noticed that he tends to people guard and lash out when he feels cornered. Simba would do best in a home who would be willing to work with him to correct his behavioral issues and give him plenty of exercise. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation.
