Story
ARRIVING IN WI February 28th! **COME AND MEET ME AT OUR ADOPTION EVENT THIS SUNDAY - MARCH 2nd AT OUR CLUBHOUSE!!** Texas Rescue Riders S83 W18370 Saturn Drive Muskego, Wisconsin 53150 Chase is an adorable 5 month old male mixed breed dog. He currently weighs about 25 pounds and we expect him to be large breed when fully grown. Chase and his littermates were found abandoned in rural Texas and were picked up by animal control and brought to the shelter. While they are happy to be warm and fed at the shelter, they can't wait to have loving homes of their own! Chase is good with other dogs and people of all ages. He has started his potty training in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 28th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption. Should he not be a good fit for your family upon meeting, the deposit is refundable. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. Story
Raymond just made the trip from a high kill shelter in Georgia to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on 2/15/25 and is doing amazing in his foster home. ABOUT: Raymond was found as a stray on a country road and brought to a kill shelter in Georgia. When he was found, he was wearing an embedded harness, and he’s been receiving treatment for his wounds. Thankfully, he’s almost fully healed now! He can wear a regular collar, but no harnesses for the time being while he continues to heal. Raymond is a big, friendly guy with a heart full of happiness. The shelter lovingly referred to him as a "big happy horse" because of his joyful nature. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, although he can be a bit too much for smaller dogs since he doesn’t always realize his size. He’s doing great in his foster home in Wisconsin and is fully potty trained, crate trained, and gets along well with kids and other dogs. Raymond is a goofy, hilarious guy who’s always in a good mood and ready to make you laugh. While he’s a big boy, the shelter estimates he’s around a year old and might still have some growing to do. He’s likely a lab mix with Anatolian Shepherd. If you meet Raymond, you’ll quickly fall in love with his sweet, playful personality. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but we can arrange a test if you're interested in adopting him. Raymond is ready to bring joy and laughter into the perfect forever home! __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.  __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Story
Meet Zeus, our lovable Great Dane who is nearly 2 years old and still has that playful spirit of a big puppy! This goofy giant doesn’t quite realize just how big he is! Weighing around 130 pounds, Zeus can sometimes be a bit clumsy, knocking over anything in his path (especially when he really wants to say hello!) Zeus is also quite vocal; he loves to express himself with his happy barks or chatty howls or whining complaints, especially when he’s excited, wants your attention , has to do something he doesn’t want to (this is when the complaints start), or is playing with other dogs! His silly personality and expressive nature will keep you entertained and ensure you never have a dull moment. Zeus is good with cats as long as you’re ok having to frequently remind him that cats really don’t want to play with puppies that are 12x their size! He is good with other dogs as long as the other dog is ok with Zeus’s rough and tumble play style and that he is VERY vocal when he plays Zeus is a little much for small kids and small kids are a bit much for Zeus, he does ok with older kids, >12yo up. Zeus is a loyal companion who really just wants to be wherever you are! If you're ready to welcome a big-hearted boy into your life, apply below!! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SCGM/Dog
