Story
$50 Adoption fee! Why so low? Yakima County is spilling over with stray and dumped dogs. Our goal is to get dogs into the right homes ASAP so we can help other dogs in need. It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! Shadow had her puppies in someone’s back yard and the home owners let her raise her puppies there until they were old enough to be weaned from mom. The puppies went to the Humane Society, but the Humane Society could tell by Shadow’s behavior (non-agressive, just very very scared) that she would not do well in a shelter environment, so the reached out to us and asked her to take her. She was trembling so much when I first met her that she peed herself. I could touch her but she was absolutely terrified. Over the next couple days, I could touch her more and more - no more peeing and minimal shaking. I can’t wait to see what her true personality is! Adopters will need to be ready to have a lot of patience with Shadow as she learns to trust her new family. This dog is located in Selah, WA. PetFinder allows multiple postings of the same animal as long as the postings are 100 miles apart from each other. This way we can reach far and wide to find the perfect home for this dog. If driving to Selah is difficult for you, we will do our best to find a rescue partner to meet you halfway.
