Story
Hi, my name is Romondo and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Nov 02, 2024. There’s no better place than cuddled up close to my human on the comfiest couch. I’m the kind of dog that enjoys an easy-going lifestyle. Movie marathons, binge-watching shows, designated nap times, and regular pets are some of my favorite activities to do with my people!

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. ABIGAIL is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 75# and 2-3 yrs old. Abigail has some fuzzy hair with a beautiful fluffy tail that curls over her back when she’s playful. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly fearful of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the scariest and the noise the pigs made were frightful. After a half an hour walking among the farm animals she became much more curious and about them and calm…even with the donkey. She was a little leery of my sister and me but it only took her a few minutes to say hello. After that, all of us were able to pet her and give her treats. Her temperament is calm, sweet, and adaptable. Abigail has an allergy to Chicken so she is kept on a Blue Buffalo Lamb kibble. She also needs to go outside every 6-7 hours to do her business. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Amelia is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 65# and 2-3 yrs old. Amelia has shorter hair than her sister and resembles more like a Lab. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly fearful of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the most scary and the noise the pigs made were frightful. She was a little leery of my sister and me but it only took her a few minutes to say hello. After that, all of us were able to pet them and give them treats. Her temperament is calm, sweet, and adaptable. AMELIA has been raised in a wonderful country home…crated at night and let play outside in the daytime. She does love to play with other dogs. Amelia is subject to ear infections… dogs with floppy ears do tend to have more ear infections…and she has a propensity to jumping fences as high as 5 ft. She will probably need a wooden privacy fence. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Story
Hi, I'm Pippa,I sure hope you are looking for a great young dog to make your home complete. If that is so, then stop looking, you found her. I am pretty shy when I first meet new people but all I need is a bit of attention to build my confidence and I will shine. I don't live with children but I have been around them and I know to just stay calm and relax. I like dogs in my pack and I will play but I would prefer to chill out and relax. I am what you might call laid-back!When my foster family takes me out for a walk I stick pretty close to them because there are a lot of street dogs and they scare me a bit. It is much better when I walk with my pack. I don't have many toys but give me a nice marrow bone and I will be busy all day! Cats are not my thing, unless they like to be chased then I am all in.Oh did I mention that I love to swim? It is the best thing when we go to the beach and I get to play in the water. I'm in heaven then. The car ride there makes me a bit nervous so I don't look out the window or anything. I just wait until we are at the beach then I am fine.I am pretty good with my basic commands like Sit, Come and of course, come eat! I know I still have lots to learn but I hope my new family will be ready to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. If it sounds like we could be a match then fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.I am all yours,Pippa To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Goliath! He is a 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Chow Chow mix. His name suits him as he is a VERY LARGE dog. He will need a strong adopter to handle his strength. Goliath is sweet with his people, food motivated, focused, and very active. He is dignified and can be quite stubborn at times but eager to please when food is involved. He would do best in a home with a big yard for him to run, play fetch, and explore! He is reactive towards other dogs, and needs to be the only dog in the home. Goliath is stunning and will need to go to a home with large breed experience. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
Meet super handsome boy Zulu! He is a 2-3 yrs old very sweet and loving dream dog! Zulu loves people and kids so much, definitely a people’s dog! He loves other dogs, both big and small ones! He’s also cat friendly! He is house trained. He’s full of energy and will chase balls but also likes to just play with the ball by himself. He also enjoys chewing bones when chilling in his bed. He will get a bit anxious when you leave the house because he loves people so much that he wants to be your little shadow to follow you everywhere. He is calm and mellow, mostly remains quiet, will only bark if the other dog barks at him first. Zulu was rescued from a highkill shelter right before euthanasia. His holiday wish is a loving forever home 🏡 to call his own! Zulu has been neutered, microchipped and currently on vaccines. He is ready to join your pack! Are you ready for him?? Currently in Riverbank, CA, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and other close by states, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.
