Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.JENGA has been adapting well to his new status as “neutered,” and now that a month of antibiotics has been completed, due to his Positive test for tickborne disease,he is telling us how much he loves life. He was heartworm-free, and is now current with vaccines. This guy is six years old, and weighs 75 pounds. We think he is an Anatolian Shepherd mix, due to his large size and his aloof personality. His life up until now has been that of an outdoor dog allowed to roam, which is a perfect life or an Anatolian Shepherd. This beautiful dog is in the care of the shelter because his human mother passed away recently and there was no one in the family able to care for him. In addition to grieving for her, he grieves for the lifestyle left behind. Dogs that have not been confined or in the house often have a difficult time at the shelter. He has been wonderful with small children and all the adults he has met. He is learning to play with other dogs, but needs a dog socially adept, who can help him learn how to read body language of others. We are helping him learn how to play appropriately. Wouldn’t it be lovely if he could get out and get into a home similar to the one where he left, where he has a huge yard, and is not required to be in the house 24 hours a day? If you love big dogs and understand Shepherd mixes, he might be the perfect match for you! Apply to adopt and we will help set up a meeting. Mud not required, but if you have some, Jenga will enjoy it! www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
