Story
If Cinnamon Roll were a person, he would be a hopeless romantic. Everything about him exudes an ability for deep love. When I first met him I was struck by his warm eyes which almost distracted me from his gorgeous brindle color, which I suspect may come from some mastiff mixed in there but of course, we can’t know for sure. Now he didn’t get the size of a mastiff, he is more like a half-size. The only way I would call him a gentle-giant would be if we were talking about love and loyalty- he is a giant in that sense! Cinnamon Roll weighs 64 lbs and is full grown at an estimated 3 years old. So this is him, gorgeous, glorious him. He may be considered a big dog but he isn’t imposing at all, I don’t think he has any concept of his potential to be intimidating and I am not going to either. Let’s have him out here being a big softie in that mastiff/staffie body. Once he gets home to his forever family, he is going to bond so deeply, be prepared for a dog that looks at you with big ol’ puppy dog heart eyes! I have also heard a tiny bit of chattiness out of him while hanging out in the living room so he may also tell you he loves you sometimes. When we introduced Cinnamon to new dogs he was calm, welcoming and easy-going but isn’t super playful. He is polite and tolerant, enjoying spending time with other dogs but passing on the games of chase or wrestling that were going on around him. An ideal doggie sibling would be moderately playful but Cinnamon Roll would be just as happy soaking up all the love himself. Another dog is not necessary for him to be fulfilled and happy. A home with a yard would be great for him but isn’t necessary. He will need a bit of polishing up on his leash skills, but he is attentive and treat motivated which will make the learning process a breeze. Regular walks, treats, and sweet talk will have him walking like a dream in no-time. While Cinnamon has a calm demeanor overall, no cats in the home for him. When we introduced him to our house cat he was a bit too interested for us to say he wouldn’t try to chase the cat and given his size, that would be chaos. If you're looking for a gentle giant with lots of love to give, Cinnamon is ready to be your loyal companion.Adopt this sweet boy today and get started making beautiful memories together! ! He cannot wait to go on adventures and learn all about the world with a person of his own at the other end of the leash. We sure hope its you! If you have any questions about Cinnamon Roll or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
**Fostered in Hillsboro, OR and ready for meet and greets!** The softest, down-like fur, and never-ending cuddles, are what you will get if you adopt Aksel. This adorable boy is extremely loving and sweet, incredibly intelligent, and sure to make an excellent pack or family member. At just 4 months old, this black-masked cutie weighs 22 lbs. We think he may be a Malinois or GSD mix, but with rescue it's always a guess. We think he will probably be about 40-50 lbs when full grown, the perfect medium size. Right now he's the perfect age and size to cuddle in your lap while you work (one of his favorite things to do) or watch movies. He is an A+ napper and snuggler! Fall in love here: https://youtu.be/JMgszJculac?feature=shared Aksel LOVES all people and is a social butterfly. He is a confident boy who is not afraid of anything. He has been socialized well around all kinds of people, including young kids. He is currently living in a foster home with a 14yo and a 4yo kid, and he adores them both. He does still jump up for attention so will need to work on those manners. He adores other dogs and happily shares his toys with his doggy friends. He will even cuddle up with his foster doggy siblings at nap time. He plays respectfully with the other dogs and isn't a pest to them, but can get rough and rowdy, and vocal, when he plays. He hasn't lived with cats before, but he's young enough to learn. He loves all kinds of toys, especially stuffed toys and bouncy balls. They will keep him busy! Aksel is very food motivated and smart, but needs to work a little on his ability to wait. He is an attentive listener and is always checking in with his handler for direction. He knows the word "no" very well and will usually stop what he's doing. He learns routines very quickly and he sleeps quietly in his crate at night. Potty training is still ongoing but he's making great progress. Aksel will do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play daily. He can be vocal at times, so an apartment won't be the right fit for him. He would do great as part of a pack, or as an only pup, and he'd be happy living with kids too. He will do best in a home where someone will be home a lot, at least at first, while he gets settled with potty training and learning his basic commands and manners. Aksel is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Don't hesitate to apply, he won't be available for long. A dog this smart, confident, social, and snuggly will get scooped up fast! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66fc10463860b8c1d604009d Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Kindrow is a big sweetie, with a soft and gorgeous coat and an unmatchable love for humanity. Kindrow would make an amazing family dog, or a great companion dog for anyone looking to fall in love. Kindrow is a people’s dog to his core, we already know that his forever family will be so adored. Kindrow is tall with a big blocky head, we think he may be a Great Dane, Mastiff, Boxer mix of some sort. He is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. Don’t let his size fool you, Kindrow is a big softie and a total scardey-cat! Watch his video to see him get spooked by a pillow. This sweet boy is a little skinny at the moment, but on a weight gain journey! He currently weighs in at just 59 pounds. We estimate his age to be around 1 and a half years old. Kindrow is a really well behaved boy! He’s a dream on leash, he knows some basic commands, and he does great in the car! He likes to lay across the backseat, and settles quickly. He loves his pup cups, and would be happy to accompany you out and about. Such a loving boy, Kindrow adores attention. He likes to be pet gently, and scratched behind the ears. He’s a total lapdog too, even with his size! He’s a true gentle giant. Kindrow is a bit of an “old man type,” with a non playful dog or a mellow female doggy sibling. Kindrow does do well with kids. We think he could be a great family dog for a home with older children. Kindow’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to keep him company, and lots of milkbones to munch on. We do recommend a kitty-free home for Kindrow! He could be an only-dog, or doggy-siblings with a mellow female dog that won’t engage with him too much. This sweet boy just wants someone to snuggle and kiss. With any questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Kindrow with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.
