Story
Ricardo is a young Antolian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 70 lbs. He is a great dog. He loves kids and all humans. He is good with dogs but can be selective with males. Ricardo was found running the streets of Philly and ended up in a high intake shelter because another rescue was negligent in placing him in a home and never checked out the "adopter" very well. We got the call that he was in the shelter and because our microchip was planted we reclaimed Ricardo. He has been in a foster home with a close friend and also board member. He has been really good with the kids in the home, he has been also been good with the other dogs but can be selective with the male dogs in the home. He has done well with the one male pittie in the home. He hates the cats. He loves to be outside and fights to come inside. Ricardo loves the water and will lay in the baby pool and soak. He also loves to share the bed but he hogs most of the bed ##1734780##

Story
adoption donation $599 weight: 45 lbs Age: 2 years     Precious lives up to her name. She is a sweet and friendly dog who loves to run and play. Precious has been with the rescue for quite a while, she was treated for heartworm, but is negative now. She gets very excited when people visit, she would absolutely love a family of her own where she can play with other dogs.         Precious is an active girl, her tail is always wagging and she always looks like she’s smiling!  She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and is spayed. She is housebroken but like any rescue dog she may need some guidance says she adjust to a new home.    We really aren’t sure of her breed, she seems to have some shepherd and maybe some Shibu Inu, when we put her pictures into a Dog Scanner app she comes up with all sorts of breeds  most of which we’ve never heard of! What we do know is that Precious is a really awesome dog!     Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fees include the transport, vaccines, spay or neuter.   For more information, please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  July 6, 2024, 4:52 am

Story
Trained Special Handler, Savvy Dog Owner Penny is an owner surrender. The lady got married and is now expecting and didn't want her working dog anymore. YES, I SAID OBEDIENCE TRAINED DOG Penny has been used as a balance dog, so she knows the protocol. She will be placed in a home where she is the only dog because like many dogs out there, she was raised without dogs, cats or children, and doesn't get along with them now. Penny's is protective of her person, and will keep others away, this must be monitored. She doesn't do anything out of the way with humans, but dogs are another matter. She will only be placed where there are no other pets, as she is the boss, and causes trouble with other dogs. We recommend further training with her in her new home, in addition to a handler who understands retired working dogs. Penny is extremely loving, beautiful, and blows coat twice a year with a vengeance. Penny loves outings, but we will provide a muzzle to keep her out of trouble with people who won't listen to you. Penny says she is ready to stop this vacation now and settle in with her forever person.

Story
Hey all, I'm Lil Mac! I absolutely love to run, jump, chew, lick and just play all the time! I'm not shy at all and will come running up to you and let you know I'm ready to be petted! Because I came to the Shelter when I was a baby, I need help with training (house, leash and crate). But because I'm so clever it won't take any time at all to get me used to living with you in our new fur-ever home. My ONLY flaw is that I don't do well on car rides, I shouldn't eat before a long ride because It won't stay down long. Other than that, you'll be amazed at what a good boy I am! We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They would love to bring Lil Mac to his forever home. Please adopt.

Story
This girl was brought back to the shelter due to her owner no longer being able to take care of her. She is now in a foster home and doing great. She is housebroken, was crate trained. She gets along with other dogs and cats. She has a very laid back attitude but loves to play! She is a chewer, as puppies are, and likes to get into that kind of mischief. She is a great dog and was in a house with young kids. She just needs a new family to play with. If you are from out of state, no problem because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.
