Story
Meet Vito, the canine Casanova of charm, the dashing puppy with a striking coat and huge brown puppy eyes that make everyone fall in love with him.  Born in March 2024, this adorable boy has a way of looking up at you like you're his best friend on earth, and his sweet, innocent smile is a surefire way to brighten even the gloomiest day. Vito’s superpower? Making you smile whenever you lay eyes on him. His charm is impossible to resist, and his playful demeanor and loving gaze will have you wrapped around his paw in no time. So, if you’re looking for a four-legged friend who’s a walking, tail-wagging testament to the power of a smile, Vito’s your boy. Get ready to have your days filled with fun, cuteness, and the best puppy eyes you’ve ever seen! Vito will need obedience training as he gets older and more mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. He loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as his mentor as he continues to understand the rules of his new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered. Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350, The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member! See all our dogs, fill out an application and discover why we are the BEST at placing the right dog in the right home! https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/. ADOPTION, FOSTERING, AND DONATIONS are just some of the ways you can help a rescued dog. We have worked hard to cultivate a large network of volunteers to save this majestic breed. While monetary donations are always much appreciated, you can also help by donating your time as a GPRS foster or volunteer. FOSTER HERE: Apply to foster at dog at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6281 . Luna Lulu is one of those pups that just makes you smile from the moment you meet her. She's got all sorts of puppy dog antics, such as running around the yard with a stick, or sniffing out new smells in the yard and on walks. She's a curious girl who loves discovering what's new in her yard and home. Luna Lulu not only enjoys spending time in her yard, she's one to be by your side in the home too. She's a bit shy at first but that may last a whole 30 seconds, she's going to be in you lap in no time. Luna Lulu likes to go for walks, and is mastering her leash skills becoming a pro day by day. She's also learning all the house rules. A family that will continue her training will be ideal for her. Luna is crate trained, she’ll go in her crate with no issues, all you say is kennel and in she goes. She currently sleeps in her crate and will go in when it’s quiet time to play with her toys. When she's out she's good with free roaming most of the time only playing with her toys. Luna is smart too! She has already learned sit, stay, down and she’s always eager to learn more! Check out her video and see just how smart and sweet she is: https://youtu.be/IHVdmP2G6BI?si=TuOAa6XBq6OUnc0v https://youtu.be/FN7_AZxoyrg When Luna is not showing off all she knows, she’s charming you with that adorable puppy dog affection and love. Luna loves her family, she will cuddle up to you and give you just as much love as you want. She's also gaining the cats' trust and cuddling with them! When she’s not being a cuddle bug she’s out playing. Luna loves to play, she’s great with other dogs, she keeps up with the big dogs. Luna Lulu's ideal home will have a cat or dog friend she can play with. But she’s also great at entertaining herself too. If you're seeking a furry friend who embodies playfulness, intelligence, and endless affection, look no further than Luna LuLu Cutie. She's ready to bring laughter, love, and cuddles into your home. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ooyT8AY34jU Henry is a 7 month old boy who was dumped at a rural lake in Oklahoma to fend for himself. He was picked up by animal control and take to the humane society. You would think that he would be safe now but sadly the evil city council in the small town just voted to dissolve the no kill humane society and turn it back into a kill shelter. The humane society has until July 1 to move their dogs and cats. After that they will be euthanized. So our rescue is trying to help them get as many out as possible. We have transports available to all of the locations below. He is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. They say he is a gentle giant. He is neutered, heartworm tested (negative), has had his rabies and I will make sure he gets microchipped and dhpp and bordetella vaccines as well if he hasn't had them. Transport costs $250 to all locations so his adoption fee would be that plus $50 for his travel health certificate. Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bruhno Bruhno is still a work in progress.  Bruhno is a very shy English Mastiff.  He is learning to walk on a leash and ride in cars. Bruhno is good with other dogs and was raised with children.  It will be a while before we feel he is ready for adoption. His future "furever" family will need to be prepared for the long haul. Bruhno is terrified of new situations.  His main and immediate response is to immediately empty his bladder  Any adopters will have to be prepared for this.  He is house trained; this is a fear response. If you are interested in Bruhno or any of our fosters, please go to our website at www.mastiffrescueoregon.org, click on adoption info, and submit an application online.
