Story
Hello! My name is Jake!I came into the Guelph Humane Society in June very scared and under-socialized. My GHS friends and foster parents have been working very hard to help me learn that the world isn`t so scary. Once I warm up, you will see I have the best wiggle-bum. And I enjoy neck scratches and bum scratches. I`m still working on my confidence as little things can scare me, such as noises and movements. When I feel comfortable though, I can be quite silly and playful. I`m looking for an experienced home that is patient and can dedicate time to helping me continue to come out of my shell!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok, no young children given my sensitive nature.OTHER DOGS: No, unfortunately I don`t have much experience with dogs and am not very comfortable with them.CATS: Potentially, with a cat confident around dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I am looking for a family that has lots of dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Required.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings due to my fearful nature.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes!If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `adopt me` button to apply!

Hello! My name is Maggie!I came into the Guelph Humane Society in June very scared and under-socialized. My GHS friends have been working hard to help me learn that the world isn`t so scary. My progress has been slow and I`m looking for an adopter who has the time and interest in continuing to help me progress. I am playful and love running around when I get the zoomies. I`m getting more comfortable going for leash walks. I take a bit of time warming up to new people but once I do I`m very snuggly. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok but no young children.OTHER DOGS: No, I am not very skilled at meeting new dogs.CATS: Potentially, with a cat confident around dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I am looking for a family that has lots of dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Required.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings due to my fearful nature.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: With a consistent routine and frequent outings, I will catch on nicely! If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `adopt me` button to apply!FOSTER ME! I’m excited to be selected as part of the Paisley Project and I’m looking for a foster home! If your home environment matches what I’m looking for based on the information above, please consider applying to foster me by copying and pasting the following link to fill out the questionnaire: https://guelphhumane.ca/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=frm_forms_preview&form=7y88o.
