Story
*** BREED EXPERIENCED OWNERS ONLY, PLEASE *** 'NASH' is a handsome, 3 yr. old, 75 lb. German/Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix male, that has 'double dew claws' on his back legs. Nash is a big couch potato and a silly boy. Nash knows basic commands: sit, wait, break (release), come and shake, and he will gladly practice each for a treat or a meal. Nash is a sweet, smart, affectionate and obedient boy, but initially leery of strangers. On leash, without distractions, he is a good boy and a pleasure to walk. Nash likes to play fetch and loves his treats, both which are great ways to win him over, make him more comfortable, and begin bonding. Nash warms to you and loves being petted, sitting next to you, and just basically 'hanging out'. Nash's optimal home would be a quiet, low stimulation one with a confident, calm, breed-experienced owner willing to help him build confidence as he matures and knows how to positively direct and mitigate/manage the breed characteristic traits of guard dogs through exercise, training and positive reinforcement techniques. (He is both highly food motivated as well as praise driven). A home with high energy, volume or traffic would not suit Nash, so children would not a good fit with him. Nash loves other dogs, especially playful females. Through a fence he may bark, but then run alongside with others. He has a strong prey drive and is territorial, so he needs a fenced in yard. Nash is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do its own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition. Story
Apollo is a sweet dog in need of a loving home. He loves to run around outside, snuggle with other dogs if you have them, and is an excellent guard dog. Our family just had our first baby and are planning to move after losing our job. We aren’t able to give him the attention he deserves or the space. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard and owners home often. Apollo does have some anxiety issues, he is in need of kennel training

Story
I adopted buddy from Forty Corners in Massillon Ohio about a year ago. He turned one in the beginning of January 2025. Buddy is super sweet, cuddly, playful, and protective. He has a brother Shrimp who is a Bernadoodle. I would love to keep them together, as Shrimp helps Buddy work through his trauma and triggers. When we adopted Buddy he came from Texas and was severely neglected, but he is a brand new dog now. He knows all commands, is house broken loves to play and also relaxes when he’s tired and loves cuddles. He still has some anxiety (doorways, and loud noises). My boyfriend and I adopted Buddy and Shrimp when we had different jobs. I work Monday- Friday twelve hour days and my boyfriend is out of town traveling monday- friday. The dogs have both become extremely anxious and overwhelmed being crated for 12+ more hours daily. They deserve someone who can spend more time with them.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Board Game puppies Scrabble  is one of eight adorable puppies who got the best start in life thanks to Doberman Underground! Their brave mom was found as a stray and taken to a shelter, where it was discovered she was pregnant. Thankfully, DU stepped in to ensure she had a safe place to deliver and raise her pups. While their mom appeared to be a purebred Doberman, DNA results revealed that she is actually a unique blend! Scrabble and his siblings are a mix of several wonderful breeds, including Doberman, American Pitbull Terrier, Australian Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, and Boxer. These pups are going to be big, cuddly dogs with loving personalities and lots of energy! Scrabble is a well-socialized, playful pup who will thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show the ropes. As a large-breed mix, he will need an experienced owner who understands the commitment of raising a big, energetic pup. At this young age, he will adapt well to kids and cats with proper introductions. Training is a must to help Scrabble grow into a well-mannered adult, so be sure you have the time and dedication for a growing puppy. A spay/neuter contract is required. If you're ready to bring this lovable pup into your home, apply today at www.DUdobes.org!
