Story
*** BREED EXPERIENCED OWNERS ONLY, PLEASE *** 'NASH' is a handsome, 3 yr. old, 75 lb. German/Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix male, that has 'double dew claws' on his back legs. Nash is a big couch potato and a silly boy. Nash knows basic commands: sit, wait, break (release), come and shake, and he will gladly practice each for a treat or a meal. Nash is a sweet, smart, affectionate and obedient boy, but initially leery of strangers. On leash, without distractions, he is a good boy and a pleasure to walk. Nash likes to play fetch and loves his treats, both which are great ways to win him over, make him more comfortable, and begin bonding. Nash warms to you and loves being petted, sitting next to you, and just basically 'hanging out'. Nash's optimal home would be a quiet, low stimulation one with a confident, calm, breed-experienced owner willing to help him build confidence as he matures and knows how to positively direct and mitigate/manage the breed characteristic traits of guard dogs through exercise, training and positive reinforcement techniques. (He is both highly food motivated as well as praise driven). A home with high energy, volume or traffic would not suit Nash, so children would not a good fit with him. Nash loves other dogs, especially playful females. Through a fence he may bark, but then run alongside with others. He has a strong prey drive and is territorial, so he needs a fenced in yard. Nash is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do its own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition. Story
I adopted buddy from Forty Corners in Massillon Ohio about a year ago. He turned one in the beginning of January 2025. Buddy is super sweet, cuddly, playful, and protective. He has a brother Shrimp who is a Bernadoodle. I would love to keep them together, as Shrimp helps Buddy work through his trauma and triggers. When we adopted Buddy he came from Texas and was severely neglected, but he is a brand new dog now. He knows all commands, is house broken loves to play and also relaxes when he’s tired and loves cuddles. He still has some anxiety (doorways, and loud noises). My boyfriend and I adopted Buddy and Shrimp when we had different jobs. I work Monday- Friday twelve hour days and my boyfriend is out of town traveling monday- friday. The dogs have both become extremely anxious and overwhelmed being crated for 12+ more hours daily. They deserve someone who can spend more time with them.

Story
Apollo is a sweet dog in need of a loving home. He loves to run around outside, snuggle with other dogs if you have them, and is an excellent guard dog. Our family just had our first baby and are planning to move after losing our job. We aren’t able to give him the attention he deserves or the space. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard and owners home often. Apollo does have some anxiety issues, he is in need of kennel training

Story
Hello!! My Name is Prescious. I AM IN FOSTER AND NOT AT THE SHELTER! Please call the shelter to schedule a time to meet me!My foster mom reports that I love other dogs and they really help me to settle in at home. I would love a home with another dog to be my big brother or sister. I was very shy when I came to the shelter and dogs help me come out of my shell!Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $185.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20)All dog adoptions come with free leash and collar.
