Meet Peyton! Peyton is a 4 year old Anatolian Shaphard mix. She’s been with us at HALO for a few weeks for an evaluation to be adopted. As an Anatolian, she does have guardian breed protection tendencies. She would do best in an adult only home as the only dog. We have been working to socialize her with other dogs in playgroups during her stay. She was cat tested and decided the cat was scary! She will need a home with an experienced guardian breed owner. A few fun facts about Peyton: She is potty trained and very clean, not destructive She loves to play ball She is a great walking buddy She likes to jump up and give you kisses (a bad habit we are trying to break) She loves being able to run in our field and would love to have a big backyard of her own She loves to play in water Adoption fee includes spay, vaccines, and microchip. Polly is a super loving dog. Like other Great Danes, she thinks she is a lap dog. She loves to get pets and rub her head on you. She is potty trained and great with other dogs. She loves to play fetch, however you have to remind her that she needs to drop the ball for you to throw it again. Polly is my baby and I would love to get up dates from the person who adopt her. This is a difficult decision made with love. Our dog is a mastiff mix, about 150 lbs, and a wonderful companion, but due to his size and enthusiastic affection, he can unintentionally be unsafe around small children and elderly adults. We are seeking a home better suited to him. He is affectionate, goofy, confident, and happiest lounging near his people. He loves scratches, car rides, playing fetch (at his own pace), and laying in the sun. He is food- and praise-driven, professionally trained, and knows sit, down, stay, break, place, and heel. He mirrors the energy around him, calm environments keep him calm, while excitement can make him overly enthusiastic and mouthy (not aggressive). He enjoys short walks but tires easily and can get excited by other dogs on leash. He does well with large dogs but not small dogs or cats. Ideally, he would be the only pet. A calm home with experienced large-dog owners, a fenced yard, and a consistent routine would be ideal.❤️
