Story
Meet Darwin - a dashing and friendly foxhound! Darwin is a medium-energy sweetheart who loves to get out and explore. During doggie playgroups, this guy is all about living his best life and having a blast with his doggy pals. From the moment he entered playgroup, he made himself right at home-joyful, excited, and ready for fun! When another dog tried to make his move, Darwin didn't even flinch-he just kept on playing like a pro. No drama, just all play, all the time! If you're looking for a fun-loving, roll-with-the-punches kind of guy, Darwin's your dog!If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Darwin 257729".He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
Our sweet Holly came to us from a breeding situation that was horrid. Sadly, at just 18ms old, this is her second and last litter of puppies! Holly was within days of giving birth and left alone, outside in the elements. On December 21, Holly gave birth to 6 healthy babies. While her babies, have mostly all, found forever homes, Holly is taking applications to find her perfect forever home. She will need time to decompress. Until she came to us, she never knew a warm bed, a warm touch, kisses all day. Her foster mom takes excellent care of her. She gets all of the love and care that she should have had all along. Holly deserves the world... and we hope to find that perfect home for her! Holly is a miniature aussie. She weighs 35# at present. After her milk dries up, she will be around 30-32# Holly will have her vaccines in two weeks, once her puppies are 6 weeks old. They will be weaned. She will be spayed around March 21st. This will be 12 weeks post delivery. Her milk should have dried up by this time. She can still be adopted... she will just go out on a spay contract and be spayed by one of our vet partners (we have all over NC and in VA). Holly is pee pad trained. She is terrified to go outside. We fear that this is from being left outside with no shelter, food or water, most days. She is a sweetheart, but she will need love and patience. If interested in Holly, please go to our website and complete the adoption application https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html Adoption fee: $500. Covers all vaccines, vet care (while in our care), spay and chip

Story
Zinnia Noelle Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Mix Gender: Female Estimated Birthday: 10/20/2021 Current Weight: 65 Pounds House & Crate Trained: Yes Adoption Fee: $265 --===================== Hi, I’m Zinnia Noelle! I was out on my own as a stray before I was rescued. The humans think I might be about 2 or 3 years old. Now I’m learning a lot at my foster home about good manners and look forward to settling in to my forever home! I’m learning well because I’m easy to redirect and am treat-motivated (yum!). I take some time to warm up to new situations and people. After I feel comfortable, I am lovey-dovey and enjoy being with my people and snuggling. If I want attention, I might paw at you - hey! If I haven’t seen you all day, I might be so excited that I jump (oh right, I’m learning I shouldn’t do that!). I like my foster’s teenager, but haven’t yet been seen around younger kids. I get along well with other dogs and cats. I’m actually pretty curious about cats and squirrels! Playing with other dogs is super fun (if I get rowdy, just redirect me)! I can tend to be on the alpha side and I’ve been seen herding other dogs. To be safe, it’s a good idea to introduce me slowly to larger dogs. I enjoy chewing on bones and toys, so much that I’ve stolen them from my foster sibling, and have even stolen the humans’ shoes and stuffed animals (still learning what’s OK to chew on). I love to be outside, running around and playing with other dogs (I’ve got medium energy). While I adjust to a new home, a 6-foot fence would be preferable, at least until I prove that I won’t run away. I’m totally house trained and also like my kennel. I walk pretty well on a leash, but it’s kind of new so I’m getting better. Let’s be buddies and practice together! Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Zinnia Noelle is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!
