Brutus is her best friend, She's even started to like my cat. She loves going for walks and is really good on a leash. She will need some training and patience because she's very scared of humans mostly men. But once she gets to know you she's a big sweetie. I think a home with another dog and maybe a calm environment would be ideal. Tundra thrives in a fenced in back yard with another dog pal to run around with! Dog savvy cats are best as she likes to play chase, but she's not harmful.

Here is a sweet boy who is doing well in a foster home. He is house trained with a doggy door but will need to be taught a different routine if there is no door. He does well with cats and other dogs. He does like to jump so small kids will need to be careful. He must be kept busy as he does like to chew and have things to do. He does appreciate sleeping on a human bed but is fine on a dog bed also. He does well on a leash and on car rides. He is just a big sweet boy who is needing a family who can keep him occupied (farm, walks, outdoor activities, etc....) He just wants his forever family and we know there's one out there.

I am a stunning, wrinkly-faced young adult female Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix with an adorable underbite who’s the perfect mix of energetic and relaxed. I am an unpredictable gal with a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me; I’m reactive when it comes to other dogs or unknown/sudden sounds like bikes whizzing by etc.; and I’m a pack follower so if there’s a fight, I may feel compelled to join the chaos. That said, I went to a training facility where there were many other dogs and I did great so I think with time, patience, and continued training I may overcome these ‘quirks’ of mine!! Anyway, my favorite activities include cuddling with my people; going for leashed walks; snoozing on the couch; eating; playing with squeaky toys; chewing on bones/sticks; chasing the cat; chilling with my canine sib; running zoomies; and barking at strangers outside! Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. Jinx is a 2 year old Great Dan mix. He is tall and lanky like the great Dane and has the shy quality. He is a good weight and he is good with other dogs. He has lived with a large female and male in his home. He does know sit and is good on leash. We assume he is potty trained as he had an older man owner. His owner is in hospice care and is not doing well. A good Samaritan stepped up and helped them. She asked CCPAL to take them in and help them find a new forever home. He settles down nice and likes to lean in to his person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would love someone familiar with the Dane personality or someone who has had a large breed dog before. He would be a great man dog. He takes direction well and bonds deeply very quickly. He naturally likes men as he lived his life with one. He would be content being the only dog or being with another dog. He is not the dominant one of the 3 pack. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. I’m an 8-year-old, 100-pound Great Dane, and yes, I’m as majestic as my name suggests! Even though I’m a senior, I still have plenty of love to give and energy for walks and a good run in open spaces. I came to Underdog with Heartworm but I’m doing great now. I’ve completed my heartworm treatment, so I’ll need heartworm preventatives year-round for the rest of my life. Cuddling is one of my absolute favorite things—I’m all about snuggling up and burying my head in my human’s arms. I also enjoy looking out the window, going for walks, and stretching my legs when I get the chance. I haven’t quite figured out toys yet, and sometimes other dogs—especially the high-energy ones—make me nervous, but I’m working on it. I'd prefer other laid back, easy going pups like me! When it comes to kids, I’m great! I’m also fully potty trained, and while I pull a bit on the leash, I’m learning to walk more politely. A fenced yard isn’t a must for me since I do well on a leash for potty breaks and exercise. I know commands like “come,” “go potty,” and “outside,” so I’m pretty easy going in that department. I don’t bark much, only if something alarms me, but overall, I’m a calm and laid-back guy. I’m still figuring out which dog friends I like best, so I’m a bit picky about my pals. But once I feel comfortable, I’m just wonderful to have around.
