Story
This is Sammy. He is a sweet boy that the vet said is a little more than a year old. We found him wandering the neighborhood and after confirming he was not chipped and receiving no replies to the lost posts we put online, we set him up an area in the backyard. My husband built him a little doghouse with a heater that we would be happy to include for free if you would like it. He does not bite, has been working on responding to sit commands and is great with children and other dogs. He is a natural livestock guardian, but unfortunately we do not have the space or amenities to provide a very enriching home for him. I have read that their breed are also very good indoor dogs if you have the space for a big cuddly baby like him! He is not neutered but we would be happy to pay for him to be if that is an issue. We just want him to find a happy forever home!

Story
Im Lucy still new here at the shelter that is but Im Definitely an older girl to the dog ages. Walking on leash is a breeze of course I have been doing it for sometime now.I came in with my little dog friend so if you have other dogs it’s not a problem for me at all.I rather not stay here long could you find it in your heart to rescue me and maybe my friend too? Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
