Story
Loki is a 1.5-year-old, 90-lb Anatolian Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is full of fun, goofy energy and is happiest when he has a canine buddy to play with. Because of his playful nature, Loki would do best in a home with another dog (or 2) that can match his enthusiasm for wrestling, zoomies, and general shenanigans. He’s crate trained (though he’ll happily tell you it’s not his favorite place to hang out) and settles in well once he understands the routine. Like many young, large dogs, Loki still has some youthful energy to burn, so regular exercise, playtime, and a yard to stretch his long legs would make him very happy. Loki is a sweet, social guy who thrives on companionship—both human and canine. With the right playful dog friend and a family ready for a big, loyal, fun-loving companion, Loki is going to make an amazing addition to the lucky home that scoops him up. Loki is in foster in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/loki You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Bubbie is the kind of dog that bonds deeply with his person. Not in a chaotic or demanding way—he just genuinely wants to be near the people he loves and be part of their life. Bubbie is a young white shepherd mix with the tall frame of a German Shepherd but a much leaner, lighter build. He’s athletic, affectionate, and very emotionally connected to his humans. He was previously adopted and returned because he became very attached to his adopter. For the right person, though, that’s not a flaw—it’s exactly what makes him special. He’s the kind of dog who forms real relationships. Bubbie is also great with other dogs and with cats, making him an easy fit for many multi-pet households. He enjoys companionship and settles in well around other animals. What stands out most about him is his heart. He’s sensitive, loyal, and happiest when he feels connected to his people. Good fit: someone wanting a deeply loyal companion and who appreciates a dog that forms strong emotional bonds. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Ash is a purebred Armenian Gampr but this website doesn't have that option. She is a big bundle of joy, she loves all people and kids so much, she is so happy to see everyone! She absolutely loves to play so she would be great with another big happy playful dog! No small dogs recommended with her size. She gets along great with most dogs, there have been a few she has met that she doesn't get along with but that is rare. She definitely is not an apartment dog, she needs a lot of room to run around. She is easy to contain and not a fence tester so far. You couldn't find a sweeter or happier girl!

Story
Meet The Sweet but Shy Emma Emma is the more confident one of the litter and is good with kids These babies came from Texas where they were born on a farm and were likely bred to be guardian dogs but the owner surrendered them and they are super shy. They likely grew up outside, then a kennel at a small shelter and havent been in a home till arriving in our care They will need a patience and loving home with another confident and friendy dog in the home to show them the ropes They are crate trained, doing well with house training, and slowly gaining confidence each day Good with other dogs, cats and other farm animals. Because they are young and still developing, this is a crucial time for them to receive proper socialization, care, and placement in homes where they can continue to grow and thrive. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Sierra is a five-year-old ~110-pound Anatolian shepherd mix who came from a family in Montana that was unable to give her the care and attention she needs. She was kept outside too much, but we have been working with her since February, integrating her into our family, dog walks, belly rubs and brushing, etc. She's a working/herding/guard dog but is also a goofball and a very cuddly teddy bear who loves people and has done well around children. She does have protective/guarding tendencies that seem to have been exacerbated by her situation at her former home, and would do best in a house with a fenced yard and without other dogs or pets (strong crittering instinct). However, she has also made HUGE progress on her dog walks and hasn’t shown any reactivity to other dogs in weeks. Sierra loves being brushed, hanging out with her people, and belly rubs. She is a very sweet girl and would make a great companion for the right person!

Story
Meet Reba: retired single mom, healed, thriving, and ready for her hot girl era After raising an entire football team of children (okay puppies but same emotional damage), Reba has officially clocked out of motherhood and is now accepting applications for someone to take care of HER for once. Growth!!! She’s a soft, gentle queen who’s currently rediscovering hobbies like:• existing• relaxing• not being responsible for anyone else’s bad decisions Reba can be a tiny bit shy at first (same, honestly), but don’t let that fool you — behind those cautious little glances is a girlie who is DESPERATELY hoping you’ll love her forever. Her tail? Constantly wagging. Her thoughts? “pls pick me pls pick me pls pick me.” Let’s talk roommate stats because she is ELITE: fully house trained (never misses, unlike your situationship) sleeps through the night (no 3am chaos) doesn’t chew your stuff (we love a respectful queen) gets along with her foster sisters (girls girl behavior) What does Reba need?A soft place to land. A little patience. A few extra snuggles while she remembers she’s safe. And in return? You get a loyal, slightly clingy, emotionally available shadow who will follow you around like you’re the most important person on earth (because to her… you will be ) If you’ve ever said “I can fix her” — good news, she doesn’t need fixing. She just needs love. Apply to adopt Reba and let this woman finally rest. ##2699112##
