Story
Grits is an incredible companion that loves playing in the outdoors. She is 6 years old and we have had her since she was a puppy. She absolutely loves mountain biking, skiing, paddle boarding, and anything active outside. She’s a little anxious about diesel trucks. Grits needs to be in a single dog household. We would love to find her the right new home.

Story
Molly is a 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd I adopted about four months ago from the Boulder Humane Society. She’s an energetic, playful dog who thrives with space to run and other dogs to play with. Molly loves being near her humans and prefers to nap where she can keep an eye on you. While she is very affectionate and loyal, she also has a strong prey drive and is reactive to rabbits and squirrels on walks. She responds well to commands like ‘sit,’ ‘wait,’ and ‘down,’ but her recall needs more work in distracting environments. I’m looking for a home with a yard and possibly other dogs, where Molly can thrive with the exercise and space she needs

These pups are in Fort Collins, Colorado too!

Story
This pups adoption fee has been partially sponsored by All Aboard or an All Aboard partner! The new adoption fee is reflected on the profile. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Ombre can be easily startled by new people and things. He is occasionally slower to meeting new people, especially men, and other dogs. Ombre has the potential to get overwhelmed easily and can resource guard. Ombre needs an adopter who is patient and willing to continue his training. Ombre is big guy with a lot of love to give! He came to us with a few quirks that his foster has been helping him work through and he is constantly making progress! He does need an experienced adopter who will be dedicated to continued positive reinforcement training and ongoing socialization. He has come a long way since his arrival in January 2023 and needs the perfect partner in crime to help him continue making progress! Ombre can be a bit skittish with new sounds or unexpected movements and can resource guard at times. He is occasionally slow to warm up to new men and other dogs, but not consistently! He can get overwhelmed in new high-activity environments, so continued socialization is a must. Ombre is very loving and curious, and acts like he is his foster's shadow. This loving boy is a classic case of a dog who is worth the effort! With the right, experienced adopter who is committed to setting him up for success through continued training and socialization, Ombre will absolutely blossom into his adopter's most dedicated friend! He is house and kennel trained. Story
Meet Haku! From his amazing foster: "He is gaining weight finally, he's doing so good, the biggest cuddle bug you can hope for, sometimes to much thinking he's a lap dog. He loves sun bathing laying outside. He's definitely a water chugger with how active he can be." From his foster: " Haku-In the Hawaiian language, Haku means Lord, Master, Overseer, Leader. And boy does he live up to his name. This big boy has lived a short yet hard life but he is the definition of a survivor! Since arriving to AAAR at only 31 pounds, he has worked hard to gain almost 45 pounds. With that strength, he has also learned that he loves to talk. Whether it's to give you his opinion or express his undying appreciation for you, he is never short on words...or barks. He knows how to sit like a proper gentleman and lay down. As long as he has a comfy blankie to cuddle with, he will kennel up though he prefers a cover over his kennel to help him decompress. Kong's or any toy you can put food in is his favorite; he's always up for a challenge. Car rides give him a little anxiety and he still hasn't learned how to get in and out of the car very well but we're working on it. With some patience and trust building, he'll come a long way! He enjoys playing with medium sized dogs he's not always sure of big dogs. He does need some extra time, patience and knowledge of a reactive dog when it comes to men though he takes to women and adores children! With a little time and love, he will bond with men as he has gotten very close with my boyfriend. Cookies and treats are his favorite and he is very treat oriented. He's still understanding how toys work but has learned a lot through watching members of my pack. Haku is looking for someone who has as much love to give as he does. Someone who is ready to show him the world, continue his training to work his brain and give him a consistent, safe and loving family. Previous shelter staff notes - Haku is the sweetest boy that adores other dogs! He's so wiggly and friendly! He's great with big and small dogs too! He arrived to us underweight and starving. He's gaining weight and is getting to healthy weight after fending for himself on the streets for who knows how long. Despite his rough past, he's ready for a brighter future where he can be cherished and loved and never know abandonment again.
