Story
Please meet my 8 month old puppies, Baba and Ocito. They are up to date on shots. They are very sweet boys and would make great family dogs. They are good with other kids, dogs, and even goats and horses. I am relocating and need to find them a loving home. Baba is an Anatolian shepherd, and Ocito, the white one, is Akbash. They both have the Great Pyrenees mixed in. They are wonderful boys and the sweetest dogs. I’d like to keep them together but not required.

Story
Teddy is a very special boy who needs a very special adopter. Teddy spent a significant amount of his life as a stray dog and he takes a long time to build trust in new humans. Once he trusts you, he is a total love bug. While building trust, he prefers to watch from a distance. Teddy is very smart and wants to be part of a family. He loves to run the perimeter of his foster yard and enjoys being both inside and outside. Over the last few months, he has built enough trust with his foster that he now likes to sleep beside or on her bed. Teddy loves to play in water and has a fun game of dumping water bowls and buckets whenever the mood suits him. Teddy currently lives with several dogs (both large and small) as well as cats. He does very well with other animals and is very careful to be gentle with his 6 pound Chihuahua friend and kitty friends. He also gets along great with his 110 pound husky foster brother. Teddy loves long walks or hikes, playing with other dogs and getting brushed. He is still working on feeling comfortable on the leash, but has made some good improvements while in foster care. He is mild-mannered and loves to settle down to chew on a crinkly toy, bone, or antler. Teddy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Teddy to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

He's great with other dogs (but funnily enough is teaching THEM to escape), so again, that escape-proof yard is needed. He's also great with kids, but no cats, please. He's very smart and would benefit from the attention through training. If you have it in your heart to take on the biggest heart out there, fill out an app for Jackson!November 4, 2024, 8:09 pm

Story
We will only let RIP go to the perfect home. He is a great dog for the slower paced family or single person who just wants a companion who likes to chill. He gets along with most dogs, kids, not sure about cats, likes short walks and is completely house broken. He is micro chipped, up on all his shots and is healthy. I get him allergy shots as needed for seasonal allergies. If I could describe his personality he would be lazy. He doesn’t want to go to dog parks because they are to chaotic. He wants to sleep at your feet, go on a walk and just hang out. He doesn’t need a lot of space because he is not active. If you are seeking a dog to go on long walks, hang out at a dog park or play fetch RIP is not for you. If you are seeking a companion to watch movies with and hang with you in your back yard then he will be perfect. He eats at around 6am, takes a short walk and then he is inside for most of the day until someone comes home to hangout.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gentle-hearted ShepherdCoco is a 2.5 year-old Malinois / German Shepherd mix who weighs approximately 78lbs.  Coco is just a sweet, gentle-hearted boy. Curious, goofy, loving, and energetic - he loves everyone, and sees the best in them. Coco currently lives with two older 4-legged brothers and, while he would love to live with a fur-sibling, he is not part of a bonded pair. As long as he has fur friends to play with, Coco will be a happy boy! When playing with his human pals, Coco is very verbally responsive and wants to please. He knows several commands and loves to play complex games with his toys. When he gets a bit over-stimulated, he puts himself into a timeout under his foster family's kitchen table to rest and reset! Sweet Coco has been perfectly house trained since day one, loves car rides, loves to go for walks and is learning not to pull in excitement when he meets new friends - that is Everyone! Despite his size and youth, Coco does not need long hikes to manage his energy. 15-20 minutes a couple times a day and play sessions with his fur siblings are great exercise for Coco. Coco knows the benefit of "Sit", "Down" and "Touch" to get his favorite treats, and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. Check out Coco's profile on Rocky Kanaka! https://rockykanaka.com/one-leg-short-but-full-of-heart-a-german-shepherds-inspiring-escape-from-adversity/ Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2024, 1:47 pm

Story
09/24/2024 11:10 A.M.Sidney is part of a new partnership with RFRD Academy in San Jose. From them, she is developing her skills as she readies for her forever home. Her trainers delivered this report card: We are currently focusing on several key training areas: - Leash Pressure and Guidance: Sidney is learning to respond to leash pressure, which is helping her develop good walking habits.- Calmness at the Front Door: We are working on teaching Sidney to remain calm when entering and exiting the home, which will aid in managing her excitement.- Engagement: Sidney is an enthusiastic participant in training sessions, eager to learn and interact.- Basic Obedience Fundamentals: She is picking up essential commands and foundational skills quickly.- Crate Introductions: Sidney is adjusting well to crate training, starting to see it as a comfortable space.- Environmental Exposure: We are gradually introducing her to various environments to help her become more confident and adaptable.Overall, Sidney is a fun pup with a lot of drive, making her a joy to work with!Ideal Home/Adopter:Sidney would do best in a home without young children or small pets. She would thrive with a family that understands her breed genetics and is not a first-time pet owner. An active household that is confident in working with energetic dogs will be the perfect fit for Sidney, ensuring she receives the exercise and mental stimulation she needs to flourish.08/25/24 23:17DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today: my friend took me on a 6.5 mile jog around Shady Oaks Park, along Coyote Creek Trail and through Hellyer Industrial Park. I was so excited to go out that I was hopping around like Tigger as we got ready to go on our adventure. I was a bit nervous getting into the car, but my friend showed me what to do and after that, I was confident doing it on my own. On the trail, there were so many things to smell, I didn’t know what to do with myself - I was bouncing all over. There were lots of foxtails though, so we decided to jog for a while but once it was safe, my friend let me get in all the sniffs. There were a lot of distractions on our walk, and some I was nervous about, so my friend helped me through those moments. I also really enjoyed chasing all the squirrels. After our long jog, we cooled down in the shade, where I got treats and pets.Three Words to Describe Me are: Athletic, Sweet-natured, Vigilant
