Story
Cody was adopted from a shelter on June 1st 2024. The shelter estimated Cody to be about 10 months making him 1 year and 5 months now. He plays well with all types and size dogs at the doggie park. He loves long walks, playing fetch, belly rubs, and he naps. Cody received basic training (10 days) at a local boarding and training facility, learning basic commands. He needs more practice on his recall, jumping, and heeling behaviors. He is crate trained. We have two young children and he guards them with his life, however, the children and Cody are still learning how to play with each other. Cody needs a loving home that can provide him attention, energy and time in a family with older children (adolescents).

Story
Dancer was left at a distant shelter as a under-aged puppy at 6 weeks old. He was dirty and timid so the shelter put him with Prancer cattle dog mix puppy also 6 weeks old. We rescued both of them and now they are doing great at their hero puppy foster home. They will get a great start since their foster home is also a trainer. Both are playful and adorable. Dancer seems to be the more outgoing one. More info. to come as they relax and learn. Dancer is more outgoing than Prancer Video from first 2 hours at their foster home. So cute. https://www.facebook.com/FFRescue/videos/1100628651741940 Update from Foster Home 1/3/25: Dancer has grown quite a bit and he is quite a busy guy. More active. He likes to cuddle but he also will wiggle out of your arms if he is full of energy. He can climb over the 2’ dog puppy pen. No cats. He has a confident and maybe sport dog type of personality.January 9, 2025, 1:03 pm

Story
NAME:MaxxSTATS:Male, Dane Corso/ Mastiff Mix, 1.5 years, 115 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Needs seasoned owner to work with issues (see below).Moderately ActiveInitially was told he was fearful of men, which seems to be he just needs slow introductions to new people where he can approach them at his own pace. Warms up quickly to men and women as long as it is done slowly and at his pace. Initially weary of strangers. SKILLSPotty trained.Crate trained.Older children in a savvy home only (12+)Has not been exposed to cats.Has not been exposed to other dogs and ideally looking to place as an only dog at this time.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Needs patient proactive owner willing to work on behavior (see details below).Signing up for basic training will be a requirement to adopt. EXPERIENCED/large breed savvy owners required.ONE LAST THING:Maxx is a supersized puppy with lots of attention and love to give to the right family. He is goofy and loves to play, especially with an appropriately sized toy like his JUMBO Jolly-Ball. He loves treats and while he is a little on the shy side at first with new people, he warms up quickly as long as it is done at his pace. After the initial warm up phase, his true personality comes out. There is a playful side to him as well as a lazy lay at your feet side, although sometimes he may mistakenly lay on your feet in his attempt to cuddle :).Maxx initially had negative reactions when it came to strangers and pretty much everything new to him (including swaying palm trees). With reassurance, positive reinforcement in the form of treats, and looking to his handler for a confidence boost, his triggers have lost power. He will need continued socialization, desensitization, and training. With the right forever home, Maxx will continue to improve. He picks up on things very quickly and is very treat and toy motivated. He does need someone who will be patient with him, but also serve as someone who he can turn to for confidence and stability when he is unsure or frightened of something new for reassurance.
