**Teddy needs a foster or adopter asap! He is being impacted by a divorce that is not his fault. Transport is available to anywhere in the continental US for serious adopters** Teddy is a very special boy who needs a very special adopter. Teddy spent a significant amount of his life as a stray dog and he takes a long time to build trust in new humans. Once he trusts you, he is a total love bug. While building trust, he prefers to watch from a distance. Teddy is very smart and wants to be part of a family. He loves to run the perimeter of his foster yard and enjoys being both inside and outside. Over the last few months, he has built enough trust with his foster that he now likes to sleep beside or on her bed. Teddy loves to play in water and has a fun game of dumping water bowls and buckets whenever the mood suits him. Teddy currently lives with several dogs (both large and small) as well as cats. He does very well with other animals and is very careful to be gentle with his 6 pound Chihuahua friend and kitty friends. He also gets along great with his 110 pound husky foster brother. Teddy loves long walks or hikes, playing with other dogs and getting brushed. He is still working on feeling comfortable on the leash, but has made some good improvements while in foster care. He is mild-mannered and loves to settle down to chew on a crinkly toy, bone, or antler. Teddy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. Cody was adopted from a shelter on June 1st 2024. Once neutered we were able to take him home. At the time, the shelter estimated Cody to be about 10 months old. So if that’s true then he is about 1yr & 4 mos old now. Cody is a sweet giant (76lbs) . He doesn’t realize his own strength and size. He plays well with all types and size dogs at the doggie park. He is full of energy at this stage in life (teenage). Cody received basic training (10 days) at a local boarding & training facility, learning basic commands. He needs more practice on his recall, jumping, and heeling behaviors. We have two young children and he guards them with his life, however, his high energy is a little bit too much for the children. Our schedules are getting busy with each week and we are unable to give Cody the time needed for him to release his high energy. Cody needs a loving home that can provide him attention, energy and time in a family with older children (adolescents).
