Story
Meet Charli the Anatolian Shepherd mix. She came to the Shelter as a stray so we do not know about her life before the Shelter. Staff have observed that she is a giant puppy, loveable and energetic! She has been eager and wiggly for attention in and out of kennel, can be a bit busy and scattered on leash, but very willing. We are not sure if she is house trained but she has kept a tidy kennel since her arrival. This energetic gal would benefit from an active guardian who will take her out for hikes and offer other enrichment opportunities. She enjyos plyaing fetch. Charli has met dogs at the Shelter and has solicitied play with a vareity of dogs, although she may not be every dog`s cup of tea due to her size and energy. Any resident dogs are recommended to meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. We do not have any history of Charli with children or cats. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
