PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Different policies and fees may apply. Adopt Squeak: Your Loyal Companion! Meet Squeak, the lovable 2-year-old pup ready to steal your heart and become your forever friend! Squeak is fully up-to-date on all her vaccines, microchipped, and spayed, ensuring she’s set for her new adventure with you! This sweet girl is a treat lover, though she could use some help shedding a few pounds. With her low to medium energy levels, Squeak is the perfect balance of playful and chill. She's crate and potty trained, making her a fantastic addition to any home. While she thrives with the company of another dog, it’s not a must—what she really needs is a yard to explore and play in. Squeak can be a bit shy at first, especially around men, and needs a bit of time to warm up. Her ideal home would be with a single woman, where she can form a deep bond and become a true "velcro dog"—your loyal shadow, always by your side. If you’re looking for a devoted and affectionate companion, Squeak is the dog for you. Come meet her and see if you’re the perfect match! Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this sweet girl into your home and heart.    If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out either the Foster or Adopt application below  Adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPP/Dog   Foster: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/FPP/Dog   Call/Text 928-207-0302 November 12, 2024, 7:31 pm

Story
We adopted her from county last December. She was brought in as a stray. She is 3-4 yrs old. She’s smart-knows her name, comes to it or to human whistling. She loves car rides, boat rides, etc-she always been seat belted in a car. She loves to play, with people or with her toys—loves squeaky ones best. She sleeps on a mat. 1cup good kibble , 2x day with tuna or chicken or cooked egg added. She drinks a lot of water. My son was supposed to train her, and I, but that didn’t happen and I can’t afford board ing. She is a very strong girl, and reactive and protective. I can no longer leash walk her, as she has pulled me down onto the road, broken my ribs and rope burned my leg. She is also very dog reactive-protecting us. I do not have a back yard-when I got her she was so good on a leash and I needed a walking partner. She deserves a backyard available to her with a dog door. And someone to love her as much as I do-if possible. This is breaking my heart, but it’s best for her.

Story
My adult son and I rescued Ruby from the county shelter December 1, 2023. I had been without a dog 2 yrs and hoped for a walking/home companion. I do not have a backyard, and she deserves one. Desperately. . She walked on a leash easily for everyone at first, not reacting to other dogs or small animals. We all grew attached to her quickly and vice versa. However, the more attached and protective she became with us, the more reactive she became to new people. I feel she would love having other dogs to play with also We have taken her everywhere we go (she loves car rides seatbelted) but I cannot control her on her leash. She is too strong for me. My son moved out this week and is unable to take her where he is. I completely understand that I need training myself; it is not her fault I can’t control her. I adore her, and this is so painful. But I’m truly thinking of her first. If you have a place for her to run and people to love she’s perfect for you. ❤️❤️❤️
