Story
Mango is a 4 year old orange tabby. He loves treats and is very food motivated. With lots of patience and love, Mango will surely warm up to you. He is high energy and is very affectionate and vocal. He loves to purr and lick you to show his affection towards you. He is very cautious towards strangers and new environments at first and may come off as aggressive. He just needs time to get comfortable. He is also often easily overstimulated by too many rubs or pets and will bite when this happens. He dislikes being held or carried by anyone. Once he is comfortable with you, he loves getting rubs on his head/neck area (body/legs are most sensitive). He would do best in a household with NO young children or other cats (he has shown aggression towards other cats).

Story
We adopted Marbles in March, opting for an older cat to offer companionship to our 12-year-old cat who recently lost his best buddy. Marbles had been surrendered in March due to her previous owner becoming unable to care for her, having been with that 1 owner for 10 years since a kitten. We slowly acclimatized her to our house, providing a safe room to explore and slowly meet our other cat. She was very frightened at first but soon began to trust us and explore the house. Now she's very comfortable with the house and us humans (as well as occasional visitors) but has made it obvious she wants nothing to do with our other cat and is making it clear she would prefer being the only cat in the house. Marbles hasn't become a lap cat yet, but she likes to play with toys, is personable, and chatty. She'll nap in the sunlight on the sofa or cat tree but knows to stay off tables and counters.
