Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Artemis was rescued from an unfortunate situation where she was kept in a cage under a tarp on the street in an encampment. She is a very affectionate and social girl! She is very comfortable around all people, other cats, and dogs. She is very gentle and loves to play and climb! Artemis would do very well in an environment where she can have plenty of enrichment and indoors only. She would do just fine as a solo cat, and she would also do very well in a home with other animals.

Story
I don’t know her breed. She is about a year old. She is very cute and cuddly, but also has an attitude, so she needs an owner who will be okay with that. I had to move in with my parents again to save on rent, and she is not loving living with their dog and cat. They put up with each other, but she definitely wants to be the alpha, and is not nice to the other pets. It would be ideal if the new owners don’t have other cats or dogs. She did really well when it was just my husband and I in the house, but she is not loving having more people around now either. But even with all of that, we were making it work, but soon we are going to have a baby around the house, and she does not do well with children. I am scared she will bite or scratch the kids, and that’s not worth it to risk it. So I would not recommend her to go to a home that will have children around. She also absolutely loves being outside. She loves climbing trees and stalking through plants.
