This handsome brindle boy weighs in at a cuddly 75 pounds and has a personality as big as his paws. Paris adores all humans, and has been around kids of all ages. His affectionate nature shines through in his love for snuggling and his generous distribution of kisses. When it's playtime, Paris is always up for a good wrestling match, though he's learned to mind his manners and stops play-biting when asked. This energetic fellow thrives on companionship and would make a fantastic partner for an active household. Benni is a 6 month old Staffordshire/American Pit mix. Benni is on the larger side of the breed. He is about 55 lbs now. The vet says he will most likely max out at about 80 lbs. He was born June 3rd, 2024. We acquired Benni when he was 10 weeks old. He is a very gentle dog. We had thought we needed to re-name him Eeyore with how docile he is in his movements and demeanor. Benni is very playful, enjoys car rides and loves to be with is people. So far he is good with kids with supervision, gets along with larger dogs, but does not get along with our 3 year old female Boston terrier/pug rescue. He has been aggressive towards her and they are no longer allowed to be in the same home together.

Check our the Adoption Procedure & Fees page to learn more!* I was removed from a neglect situation with another dog so yes life wasn’t really fun and there was obviously not much love. Here I can be a little timid at first but as one of the Canine Care staff members described me, once I am out, I am like a big baby, climbing into your lap and soaking up all the loving and attention I am getting. They are also introducing me to toys and they look fun though I’m still not quite sure what to do with them. I’ll chase them and then run back to the dog walker for some more petting. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.

I am also pretty smart, and ready to learn more. I am very affectionate and a real cuddler. At night, I sleep deeply and snore loudly I’m told. This just means that I had an active day filled with a lot of loving and play time.

I am an active girl and I enjoy a nice game of fetch. When someone is getting ready to take me out, I can sometimes get excited but then calm down as they put the harness on me. Going for a long walk is fun. I also love water so bath time is always a special moment with staff. They can pick me up, even carry me like a big baby. I enjoy all this extra attention, you know the massage and shampooing. While not mandatory, a fenced-in yard would be awesome so I can run around. I like to keep fit so an active person would be awesome but most importantly, I want to be loved. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess.
