Lady Nala you gorgeous girl! She is around 6-years-old, fully vetted, chipped and up-to-date on vaccines. She loves attention, toys to play with, and a cozy home to lay her head down and relax in. Nala takes her time getting to know a new person, but warms up quickly and is all smiles afterwards. Though they were fortunate to be loved and well cared for there, boarding can never replace a true forever home. Now, with Yeti recently adopted, it's sweet Nala's turn to find her perfect family! We are still getting to know Nala, but her personality is showing lots of smiles and sass! She's a spunky girl that struts when she walks and would make a fantastic hiking or camping partner. She loves chasing tennis balls, so an active family with a fenced in backyard would be ideal. With other dogs, she can be a tad bossy and independent, so a home where she is the only dog or a furry housemate that wouldn't mind her being in charge would be great. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* I was removed from a neglect situation with another dog so yes life wasn’t really fun and there was obviously not much love. Here I can be a little timid at first but as one of the Canine Care staff members described me, once I am out, I am like a big baby, climbing into your lap and soaking up all the loving and attention I am getting. They are also introducing me to toys and they look fun though I’m still not quite sure what to do with them. I’ll chase them and then run back to the dog walker for some more petting. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.

I’m a very handsome guy, always ready to flash you one of my “signature” smiles. While I may be a little shy meeting some new people, a couple of treats is all it takes to become great friends. I am also pretty smart, and ready to learn more. I am very affectionate and a real cuddler. At night, I sleep deeply and snore loudly I’m told. This just means that I had an active day filled with a lot of loving and play time.

I am an active girl and I enjoy a nice game of fetch. When someone is getting ready to take me out, I can sometimes get excited but then calm down as they put the harness on me. Going for a long walk is fun. I also love water so bath time is always a special moment with staff. They can pick me up, even carry me like a big baby. I enjoy all this extra attention, you know the massage and shampooing. While not mandatory, a fenced-in yard would be awesome so I can run around. I like to keep fit so an active person would be awesome but most importantly, I want to be loved. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. I’ve got plenty of happy energy to share. I love big toys, those big balls that you can push around or the lighter ones that you can bump up in their air with your nose. I’ve also perfectioned not only the tail wag but the whole body wave because I’m always so happy when I get loving from people. Now, no worries, I could definitely sleep in too. After all, some days, you just have to take it slow.
