Story
Macie is just a young girl at about 6 months old who had a rough start to life. Macie was found as a stray with an embedded collar that has healed beautifully. She walks with a limp due to an old injury that she sustained around 1-2 months of age that has healed and left her right leg shorter than the others. But that doesn’t slow her down at all! She is such a sweet, kind, goofy girl that is full of love and energy. She LOVES to play with her toys, cuddle, and gives lots of kisses. She is great with kids, other dogs and cats. Shes is a great listener, great in cars, kennel trained and is doing very well with potty training. She is working on her manners but she knows how to sit, lay down, down, and stay. She is happiest when she’s with her family. She does well in the kennel and outside when left alone. A true people-pleaser, Macie is a friendly pup who thrives on attention and love. She is a super mutt, our best guess being a terrier of some kind! She is currently about 20 lbs and we anticipate her to be medium sized full grown. Macie is located in Texas. Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, and spay. If you are interested in adopting Macie please complete the adoption application at the link below. Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Has yet to have an accident in his foster home Bo is a sweet, playful pup rescued from a hoarding situation. He's a bit cautious with new things but warms up quickly with reassurance. Kids are one of the new experiences he’s learning about—though they confuse him at first, he’s curious and will likely grow to love them as he becomes more comfortable. Story
Are you looking to have your dog skills and experience challenged? Do you have the patience of a saint? Then Mighty is ready to test you. Seriously, he’s an 8.6 magnitude earthquake in a city without building codes. He is a rainstorm on a herd of Gremlins, after midnight… with a plate of food. For example: 1. Speaking of rainstorms – he hates them. As well as fireworks. Just about any loud, new, or odd noise scares him. He is even afraid of his farts. 2. He has the leash manners like some of those shoppers on Black Friday. You know, where the store is giving away an item to the first 200 guests. He just gets so excited sometimes he feels the need to jump up and grab the leash and walk himself. 3. Mighty has an allergy or several. No chicken for sure and probably no other poultry. Grains make him itchy, and sometimes he gets pink. 4. He’s one of those “blocky headed” dogs… pit balls, pot bois, pibbles, poblanos, whatever. 5. He’s nervous with new people, and he warms up to women quicker than men. Do you know that site with all the dogs who love the UPS guy? Mighty will not likely be making an appearance on that site. Here are some things we also know about Mighty. He completely loves his people. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. He likes to make new people friends, too, and that takes some time and treats… and those are treats without caramel color, because you know, the allergies. He loves attention, training, and showing his set of learned skills. He likes drinking from the hose, being outside with his people, and helping with yard work. If you have sticks, he’ll chew them. If you’re pulling weeds, he’ll shake them and spit them out…mostly. With patience, proper introductions, and some training, Mighty possibly could live with another dog. He previously lived with a female dog and a cat! He has not had the best of experiences with other animals since then, so we tend to err on the side of caution. We’ve loved this guy from the moment we saw him tied to a tree with a note stating, “My name is Mighty, …just tell me it’s OK Needs a good home and lots of love” We’ve come a long way from where he wouldn’t go near the car, wouldn’t go up or down the stairs, and only went outside to do his business. He now, cannot wait for the next car ride and uses the stairs like Rocky. (Except for the basement stairs, they’re still scary.) We’re not going to lie though; his forever home is one in a million. His new home will require experience, management, smarts, time and dedication. As they say, nothing worthwhile comes easy and nothing that comes easy is worthwhile. Mighty is a sweet, playful, loving dog, and is very loyal in his devotion to his people. He has quite a few quirks, but hey, who doesn’t? He has a long life ahead of him, and deserves an active, loving home that will always tell him, it’s OK.

They call me Peter and I am looking for my furever home! I am quite quiet, but when I do talk, it is to respond to my very favorite question - 'Do you want to go outside?' I love going for walks and looking at all there is to see. Sometimes it is a bird or a cat or even deer. Then the next time I get to go out, I will be on the lookout for them. I enjoy stretching my legs by going for walks and runs. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I like to chew on and fetch a braided rope and squeaky toys. Bones are fun too as long as there is something yummy in them. I sit for my supper and when you hook the leash onto my harness. I take treats nicely and I don't react to the doorbell. I like other dogs and as long as you are watching me, I am fine with an easy tempered cat. I am a people lover! Once I warm up to a new person, I will be your sidekick, couch snuggler, and foot warmer if you let me on your bed. Who wouldn't want that? This sweet boy is playful and loves affection! I am searching for my family! Could that be with you?        We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! Updated: 1/11/2024 Dog Name: Trooper (was Griffin when he first arrived in WI) Sex: Male Litter: GJ Litter Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix Approximate DOB: 3/3/24 Approximate Weight: 58 lbs. Neuter Status: Trooper has been neutered Description: Trooper (originally his name was Griffin) first came to Wisconsin as an ~8 week old puppy. He was adopted quickly, but is now being surrendered back to the rescue. His adopter feels that they aren't the right match for each other.  Trooper loves people, kids, and cats. He is a very playful boy who will even play with the cat! He loves tug-of-war, fetch, and to chase his tail. He's still a puppy, so he's still got puppy energy. At times he can be a couch potato who loves to cuddle too. He's a food motivated boy, which should help his next adopter when continuing his training.  Thus far in his training, he knows sit, down, leave it, off, stay, walk, and heel. He's also housebroken.   The first picture is of him today, the others are of him as a puppy and his parents.
