Story
Macie is just a young girl at about 6 months old who had a rough start to life. Macie was found as a stray with an embedded collar that has healed beautifully. She walks with a limp due to an old injury that she sustained around 1-2 months of age that has healed and left her right leg shorter than the others. But that doesn’t slow her down at all! She is such a sweet, kind, goofy girl that is full of love and energy. She LOVES to play with her toys, cuddle, and gives lots of kisses. She is great with kids, other dogs and cats. Shes is a great listener, great in cars, kennel trained and is doing very well with potty training. She is working on her manners but she knows how to sit, lay down, down, and stay. She is happiest when she’s with her family. She does well in the kennel and outside when left alone. A true people-pleaser, Macie is a friendly pup who thrives on attention and love. She is a super mutt, our best guess being a terrier of some kind! She is currently about 20 lbs and we anticipate her to be medium sized full grown. Macie is located in Texas. Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, and spay. If you are interested in adopting Macie please complete the adoption application at the link below. Story
Meet Bo! Breed: Brindle Pit Mix Age: Just turned 1 year Weight: 65 lbs Dog Friendly: Yes! Cat Friendly: Yes! Kid Friendly: Yes (see below) Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: No accidents in his foster home Bo is a sweet and playful pup rescued from a hoarding situation. Now in foster care, he's finally able to relax and enjoy life. With the heart of a puppy and the sweetest soul, Bo loves playing with his dog siblings but even more, he adores cuddle sessions! Since coming into foster care, Bo has really blossomed. He’s discovered his love for napping on the couch, window watching, squeezing his entire body into the toy box, and stealthily stealing gloves whenever the opportunity arises. Although Bo can be a bit cautious with new things, he's proven that nothing can hold him back from facing his fears and embracing life to the fullest. Kids are a new experience for Bo. At first, they confused him, but his curiosity is growing, and he’s warming up to the idea of having a little one to toss a ball with. Bo is a big-hearted puppy in search of a patient, understanding family who can help him continue to thrive. Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 11/17/24 Dog Name: Peter Sex: Male Neuter Status: Neutered Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix Approximate Age: 1.5 Years Approximate Weight: 56 lbs Adoption Fee: $300 Description: Hi! They call me Peter and I am looking for my furever home! I am quite quiet, but when I do talk, it is to respond to my very favorite question - 'Do you want to go outside?' I love going for walks and looking at all there is to see. Sometimes it is a bird or a cat or even deer. Then the next time I get to go out, I will be on the lookout for them. I enjoy stretching my legs by going for walks and runs. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I like to chew on and fetch a braided rope and squeaky toys. Bones are fun too as long as there is something yummy in them. I sit for my supper and when you hook the leash onto my harness. I take treats nicely and I don't react to the doorbell. I like other dogs and as long as you are watching me, I am fine with an easy tempered cat. I am a people lover! Once I warm up to a new person, I will be your sidekick, couch snuggler, and foot warmer if you let me on your bed. Who wouldn't want that? This sweet boy is playful and loves affection! I am searching for my family! Could that be with you?        We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 2, 2025, 10:54 pm

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 12/18/2024 Dog Name: Cannoli (formerly Jemma) Sex: Female Litter: GJ Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix  Approximate DOB: 3/3/24 Approximate Weight: 45 lbs. Spay Status: She's already been spayed Description: Cannoli is from a litter that was born in Texas (parents are in the photos). She was adopted soon after arriving in Wisconsin at about 2 months old. She lived most of her life so far in a home with 3 other dogs and a cat. She's good with other dogs and playful with cats. One specific dog in her previous adopters home wasn't a fan of her, which is why we are looking to find her a new home.  She enjoys chewing on bones, wrestling her doggo brothers, and cuddling with and getting attention from her humans. She's great with people, but we think she would do best in a home where everyone is 10+ years old.  She knows 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'down.' When going for a walk she will pull a little bit but does well when walking with other dogs. She's potty trained, but will potty a little bit when she gets excited. Cannoli is also used to being crated while her humans are away. Overall she's a sweet girl that would be a great addition to families with older kids and or cats!
