😇 Introducing... Bonnie! We have known Bonnie since she was a tiny baby puppy when she came into the shelter over a year ago. Unfortunately, her family was no longer able to keep her due to changing life circumstances. 😞 Bonnie is an extra special girl. She was born deaf, but that does not slow her down one bit. She is super dog-friendly and LOVES to play with other dogs & people. Bonnie is a little short-stack, weighing under 40lbs. With her being deaf, she does have a very unique bark. Of course, she has never heard another dog bark, so she's just making her best guess at what a bark should sound like. 🤣 If you have experience with special needs pups and would like to meet Bonnie, please let us know! We are looking for a special family or rescue to take her in and work with her on her sign-language skills. ❤

Story
Introducing... Boba! 🧋 Boba was brought into the shelter after being hit by a car. 😞 Luckily, she did not have any breaks, but she was still having a hard time using her front legs. She has made progress, but still has a hard time using her front left leg. Thanks to a foster who stepped up, we were able to pull Boba from the shelter. We are going to be getting her into a specialist asap to see what can be done about her leg. We're not sure yet if it will be a lifelong condition for Boba or if, with some rehab, she can overcome the injury. Regardless, Boba has been an absolute delight in foster care. She is the friendliest little lady and she LOVES to snuggle!

Story
Hi, my name is Tucker. I've had a pretty bad start and was just returned for the second time. You see, when I love, I love with all my heart and sometimes I don't want to share my person, so I would really love to find the following for my forever: Single man or woman that I can love all to myself I don't get scared for fireworks because I'm DEAF! I won't hear you snore, but don't judge me because I do! I get along with other dogs, but would really prefer to be alone with my person! I love to snuggle! I don't have to go on long walks because, well, I'm a lazy guy! I love to just sit on the couch while you watch Netflix, Prime or play video games. I'm a literally the best boy! Please give me a chance, you really won't regret it!

Story
Meet Sage! Sage is a deaf pittie mix. She is a small girl, weighing around 40lbs. Sage is spayed, utd on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. She is not quite a year old. Sage gets along well with dogs in her foster home and is very curious about the cats. She responds to correction but would do best in a home without cats or have a family that is diligent in supervision. Sage needs a confident leader who will help her learn manners and provide structure and enrichment. Sage is working on house and kennel training and other manners while she waits for her forever family. Because of her puppy energy and exuberance for life, Sage would do best in a home with older children as she may play too rough and/or knock little ones over until she learns more manners. Deaf dogs can be amazing companions, learning to communicate with sign language and learn house rules like any other dog. Sage is a smart girl and already knows 5 signs - sit, down, place, stay and no. Deaf dogs need a family/adopter committed to keeping them safe as they cannot hear danger headed their way. A few great things about deaf dogs - they are typically not scared of the vacuum cleaner, storms and fireworks don't bother them and the door bell does not set off the dog alarms. The adoption fee is $175. If you think you might be interested in adopting Sage, please submit your application.
