My name is Ember and I'm a Staffie mix. I am sweet girl that likes to go for long walks, cuddle with my human, & play with my doggy friends. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, tennis balls, whether a human is throwing them for me, or I am tossing them around myself. They are sure to entertain me for a while. I would do best in a home with older children as I can get a bit wild when playing and wouldn't want to knock over a little one on accident. I know basic commands like, sit, stay, leave it, and come here. I am super smart and even know how to put my own toys away. Hello. My name is Roux B. (It's pronounced like Ruby, but with a little flair). I am a 5-year-old adventurous girl. My perfect person is someone who is an assertive leader who can keep my sass at bay. I am currently in a foster home with other dogs my size, but I am dog selective so I do better with neutral or submissive dogs with a slow introduction of course. I can also be your one and only pet because I love all the attention on me. I also am not a fan of cats or small dogs. I love car rides and am ready to be your co-pilot any day. I am great in the car! I am ready for any outdoor adventures you want to do, but I am also ready to just hang out and chill. I would be perfect for someone who is a 1 dog type of family. Teenagers are cool too since I like to follow them around the house. I am potty trained, crate trained and love to play with toys. My favorite thing to do is lay on a soft bed. I am a power chewer so I prefer strong chew toys over stuffies. I know sit, stay, down, shake and I will wait for a command to eat or go outside. Dawson is both clever and playful - those two traits combined always make for an interesting time! He`s sure to keep you on your toes! Dawson came into the shelter on 7/19/22 with some skin issues. Those issues have since cleared up nicely. Now when you look at him all you`ll see is a handsome happy 2YO boy! Dawson is an active boy who loves to run. He has a tendency to trot around like a pony, too. It`s adorable! His favorite thing in the world is to have you playfully chase after him. He`ll run up to you and grin, then dart away - just to tempt you into chasing after him! He`s just wanting to make sure you stay active too! Squeaky toys and treats are two more `likes` of his. Both are great ways to get his attention and make him come to you (without playing keep away). He takes those treats from your hand very gently, despite his playful nature. Dawson`s not all jokester, though. He`s got a sweet side too. He really enjoys and appreciates being pet. Can you believe this handsome, photogenic boy has been homeless since 10/10/22?! He was found as a stray with a large wound on his neck which, thanks to our medical team, has long since healed up nicely. Some dogs get scared when their injured and react negatively…but not Brutus! He was sweet as pie, both to his finder and the Animal Control Officer who picked him up.Brutus walks pretty well on a leash, with just a little pulling. His ears flop with every step he takes! He has a low to average energy level, and is mostly happy just to be around people and be pet. Brutus loves treats, and mostly knows how to sit on command for one. He`ll only get better at it with practice! Brutus has done well in shelter playgroups with some dogs. He`s dog selective. Bring your dog in to meet him anytime we`re open to see if they`ll be a good fit!

Venice - a gorgeous name for a gorgeous dog! This handsome boy came into the shelter as a stray alongside Viola A039116 on 10/26/22. He was probably somebody`s pet at some point as he came in already knowing how to sit on command. Poor boy was covered in fleas - they were so bad he was missing spots of hair! Thanks to the flea/tick prevention medicine we gave him it`s cleared up nicely. The thing Venice loves most in this world is a good squeaky toy. He thinks they`re so much fun! He`ll happily spend all day with one…or as long as the toy holds up. He likes having human company, but he doesn`t need it to have fun. He`ll play all by himself! He has an average energy level and will happily accept you petting him. He also loves to lick! Venice gets along with other dogs (though he does have a dominant personality type) and has passed our in shelter cat test. He listens really well - especially to the word `no,` and he learns quickly. He already knows how to sit on command and is potty trained. He`s gotten along well with young children in a previous foster home. Venice: ¡un nombre precioso para un perro precioso! He has been in foster care waiting for the right family to come along. Max enjoys car rides, going for walks, meeting new people, playing with toys, and cuddling with his people. He is a very sweet and attentive dog. He learns new tricks very fast. Max has a medium level of energy. He can definitely keep up with long walks and new adventures but is just as happy to hang out on the couch. Max is good with dogs his size or larger, but needs a home without smaller animals, including small dogs and cats.
