Story
Maggie is still searching for her forever family! Here is what one of our volunteers has to say about her: “Maggie is a gem. She has the best temperament and is probably one of the sweetest dogs you’ll meet. She loves, loves, loves people. When she looks up at you with those eyes, you can’t tell her no! She loves belly rubs, being pet, and giving kisses. She would do really well with older kids, but she could go to a family without kids as well. Maggie loves to do all of the typical dog activities, such as walks and car rides. There’s no question she’d be your best friend and accompany you on all your adventures. She’s just so happy and loving. I’m surprised this precious girl hasn’t been scooped up yet!” Maggie is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She is great with other dogs and loves to play. She is kennel trained and potty trained. If you are interested in adding Maggie to your family, please fill out an application at rescuerowinc.org! *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1482209##

Story
According to Wisdom Panel, Petunia's top breeds are American Staffordshire Terrier and Bulldog. She currently weighs 11 lbs, and her estimated adult weight is 33-55 lbs. She is short and solid muscle! Given her build and breed makeup, we scheduled her with Dr. Dean at Mustang Veterinary Surgical to rule out any health issues, particularly with her hips. Dr. Dean did not find anything abormal! Petunia is now available for adoption! We are now accepting applications. If you are interested in potentially giving her a forever home, please read the following in its entirety. Although this little girl is funny, snuggly, and adorable, she is not an easy puppy. Setting her up for future success involves adoption requirements that are different from a typical 5 month old puppy. Petunia must go to a home with an experienced dog owner, preferably someone who has experience with bully breeds and/or stubborn breeds. Even though there are tons of toys in her foster home, Petunia goes after anything she is not supposed to chew on….furniture, cords, clothes, the actual dryer - you name it, it is fair game! She is persistent and does not respond to redirection. Her foster mom has noticed that Petunia is getting better at responding to “no”. Her future adopter must be willing to invest in training, whether at home or professionally. She has her first training session tomorrow! We also will not place Petunia in a home with children under the age of 15. With her body structure (and the fact that she is squirmy), she can be hard to hold on to. One accidental drop could cause spinal issues or paralysis. Petunia would do well in a home with another dog, however, she may not be a good fit if you are looking for a playmate for your pup. We know that the above description is different from most puppies; however, we are always going to be honest with potential adopters and aim to place our dogs only in environments where they will thrive. Right now, her mischief may be “cute” since she’s a puppy, but it wouldn’t be so cute on a full grown dog. Petunia has the potential to be an amazing dog, but she is not the right fit for everyone. Petunia is kennel trained and sleeps through the night. She is working on potty training but still has a few accidents a day. If you are interested in adopting Petunia, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org! *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Story
I have been fostering Roxie for 3 months. My Veterinarian approximated the ages of 11 months to 1.5 years old. I am unable to continue to foster her because I will be moving and I live in a one bedroom apartment, which is not an ideal space for her. She is a great dog, very energetic and playful! She LOVES people, but unsure of other dogs, I would recommend she be the only dog. She would be perfect with a family that loves to be outdoors and has a big yard where she can run and explore. She is housebroken and is easily trainable. I was able to train her how to sit, stay, leave it, wait, and down, very quickly. She is food motivated, which will help with training. She has a big heart and loves to cuddle, give big hugs and kisses. I am willing to give the crate that I bought for her as well as her leashes/harnesses. Also, she is currently up to date on vaccines/heart worm prevention. I hope to find a family that will give her the attention she needs and create a special bond with her.

Story
Bella is a loving, gentle girl. She thrives on your attention, and loves to play and go on walks. Bella was found as a stray, but brought into her foster’s vet hospital for basic care, vaccinations, and to be checked over. And it’s a good thing, because she was heartworm positive, but thankfully was treated. Her birthdate is estimated at approximately early Aug 2021. She is selective about the dogs she likes, but does well with dogs near her size (60 lbs). But it would be best if she wasn’t in a home with cats or small dogs. She hasn't been thoroughly exposed to children but she has been around them and seems fine with them. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Bella is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm
