Story
Gwen, previously known as Natasha from the Marvel Litter, was adopted from us as a puppy in 2021. Now, this sweet girl has unfortunatey come back to Rescue Row and looking to start her next chapter. Gwen is a 3 1/2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier/Dalmatian/Rottweiler/Lab mix weighing 53lbs. Her former owners sent her to two board-and-train programs, so she comes with an impressive set of skills! She knows commands like “place”, “sit”, “down”, “wait”, and “free”. Gwen is an anxious pup, so she is looking for a patient family who can help her build her confidence. Once she feels safe, she’ll happily snuggle up for belly rubs and give you her whole heart! She was returned to us because her former family’s new baby added to her nervousness, so we are looking for a home without young children. She is, however, great with other dogs. *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):
Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee + tax
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee + tax
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
