Story
I’m Gatlin, a beautiful brindle American Staffordshire terrier mix who would love to have a forever home for my senior years. (I’m Gatty or Gatty-girl to my friends at the Humane Society of York County.)I came to HSYC from York County Animal Services. My estimated birth date is September 2013, and I’m about 55 pounds.Though I’m a senior citizen, I’m an active, strong girl who loves playtime in the yard at the rescue. I particularly love squeaky balls and am adept at taking them apart! I also enjoy my daily walks, which help me get out my energy and enjoy time outdoors with my human friends.I’m selective about the people I want to spend time with – if I love a person, I really, really love them. The same is true if I don’t. I’m a very smart girl and I read people very well!As much as I love to play with a ball in the yard, I would much rather spend quality time with the many people I love. I need to be the only pet in my forever home, and no small children. A dog-savvy person or family that is willing to give me time to adjust is important – time for us to connect and build trust. If you have the calm, stable home I’m craving, please call to meet me!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
This not so little nugget is Yosemite Sam. Yosemite was adopted last season from Mama Lola's Looney Tunes litter.  Yosemite's about 10 months old now and is looking for a new forever family. Here's the basics: *We've had him in to our vet for a complete checkup.  *He's fully vetted, neutered and up to date on all vaccines.  *Our trainer has been out to visit and was impressed with the level of training that he's had already. Yosemite Sam is house trained, crate trained, and a dream on leash. He's a super smart very good boy who is attentive to his person and enjoys learning new things. He's been living in his current home since adoption and has done very well with general house & people manners. Yosemite's about 65ish pounds and has ears for DAYS! Though still technically a puppy, he's the best of both worlds. He's young, healthy, and loves to play, but he's done with the potty training, crate training, and most importantly - the teething. He lives with another dog and little human kiddos, and he would probably be happy just about anywhere. We think his dream home would include walks & a yard to play in, but the rest is negotiable! Yosemite Sam is a super duper good boy and he needs a family that will love him for the rest of his life.  To learn more or to submit an adoption application please visit our website https://www.pitsandgigglesrescue.org/adopt  ##1723063##

Story
Contact the foster at, bnstryker2018@icloud.comBurt is a sweet boy who would do best in a home where he is the only animal, no small children, and a family who will play fetch and tug-of-war with him as often as possible!-Very friendly, lovable, and loves attention-Great in the car (enjoys sticking his head out the window)-LOVES to play (loves chew toys and fetch)-Knows sit, shake, and speak-Seems to be crate trained-Doesn’t bark much-Decent on the leash, but is very strong and will sometimes pull-Doesn’t act like he’s 7. Burt has just as much energy as our 3.5 year old lab and can keep up with her! He still has many playful, happy years ahead of him!-Very interested in cats (perhaps a little too interested). I did not allow them to interact due to the small size of the kitten (only 6 weeks and less than 2 lbs), but he may be okay with adult cats. Would recommend very slow introduction to cats.-Has been around other dogs in the past but Burt tends to give inappropriate hugs and makes the other dog uncomfortable. This has lessend since his neuter.-Burt isn’t very careful with his mouth when playing or taking food from hands, which is why I recommend a home with no small children. He’s not aggressive in any way, he just also isn’t very careful or graceful.
