Story
This sweet girl has had quite the journey. Molly was found as a stray - she was emaciated, dehydrated, had a severe case of mastitis, and was frankly close to death. Molly was brought into a local shelter barely responsive. Within a couple days, she made her way to Hallie Hill where she was provided all of the medical care she needed. Today, miss Molly is exuberant, playful, and is acting like a young pup should. This special, brave girl deserves a wonderful, loving home! She hopes you will apply to adopt her!Approx DOB: 7/2015--The first step in meeting any of our animals is to fill out an application at halliehill.com.

Story
Naomi came to Hallie Hill as an emaciated puppy in 2015. She was adopted in 2017 and kept in a loving home for three years, but when her owner had to move, they no longer had a secure yard, so he had to take her for daily walks and to dog parks. Sadly, Naomi became reactive to people and dogs when on a leash and was returned to the sanctuary. Naomi has a history of injuring a dog, so she is housed alone at the sanctuary. When going on outings with volunteers from the sanctuary, she does very well. She is incredibly sweet and loving. We cannot say with confidence how her behaviors would change when she forms an attachment.

Story
Liza, small but mighty! She is full of non-stop energy. Cute as can be with those adorable ears, perfect size and gorgeous color! She was a stray at a local shelter. It`s apparent that wherever she came from they didn`t give her the time and direction that she deserved. She will benefit from structure and positive training and will make a fun companion once someone puts the effort into her. Liza shares her pen with another dog. She would do best with an easygoing `sibling.`

Story
IN FOSTER - NEEDS ADOPTER - Ava is a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, and is around 55lbs. Ava is one of the longest residents in our rescue and we just CANNOT understand why!! Ava came into our rescue last summer at as an outdoor only backyard breeder chained up Mama. Her puppies were adopted RIGHT AWAY but it seems it’s always the Mamas that are long left behind still looking for their families Here is what her amazing foster Mom has to say about Ava She is: A total love bug Potty Trained Crate Trained Loves Kids (5+ as she has a strong tail when she wiggles and loves to lick) Loves Walks Loves Firemen Loves anything paper Loves Dogs (when properly introduced) Has completed basic obedience training from @aupairforpaws Ava is so sweet!! She is potty trained. She does wonderfully in her crate both at night and when I leave the house. She also does great when having free roam of the house. She did really well when my nephews came over to visit (ages 4 & 7). She accepted pats and treats from them very gently. She would probably sleep in your bed no problem. A funny quirk she LOVES paper- toilet paper, paper towels, wrapping paper - you name it - doesn’t eat it just loves to shred it. She has never shown any type of aggression and is a love bug. She does well on a leash and loves a long walk! She also does well with most other dogs when properly introduced. She has never been tested with cats but I would say cats are a no. She is a strong lady (and sometimes stubborn) but she sits and lays down for treats! She identifies as a lap dog. She has also completed basic training with Aupair for Paws! Overall she is a lovely, sweet girl who will make a great companion and adventure buddy! Ava is UTD on vaccines, preventatives, is spayed, and is completely ready for her forever home.

Story
Meet Miss Bitters,She is currently in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take dogs that are available for adoption into their homes and help try to get them adopted. This is what her foster Dad is saying about her: Miss Bitters has the heart of a puppy and loves to play, wrestle, and run with other dogs. She`ll even give you a run for your money if you get down on the floor with her, and loves attention! But she also has the soul of a protector. If she hears a sound, or sees something through a window, her ears immediately perk up. She`ll let out a low rumble followed by a bark that says, `You`ll have to go through me to get to my human!` She`s potty trained using a doggie door and responds well to commands. She`s ready to be your companion!Interested in Miss Bitters? Contact Senior Director of Adoptions, Courtney Gumienny, gumienny@charlestonanimalsociety.org or 843-329-1577
