Story
We adopted Smoke in 2021 and he was a very sweet baby. He enjoys cuddles and being by your side; he is more of a lover not a fighter but he does frighten easily. Smoke is dealing with anxiety and his anxious demeanor can lead to undesirable behavior such as peeing in the home or becoming defiant and not wanting to go outside when he needs to use the restroom. We were doing well with him and working with him to help him calm down, but with our recent move, we feel that the change of environment has not been suiting him well. With my family constantly working, we cannot provide him the attention he truly needs to assist him in overcoming his anxious behaviors. We know Smoke is a good boy, but we are no longer the best fit for him. He needs to go to a family that can dedicate most of their time to him and provide him with more one on one attention. He benefits most from daily walks and playtime to help get rid of that anxious energy.

Story
Meet Reid - a sweet boy who was at risk of being euthanized in the local shelter, after being dumped by his owners. This sweet boy has done nothing to deserve this. We were able to get him out, but he is in a very, very temporary foster situation and desperately needs either a long-term foster or an adoptive family. He is young, playful, good with other dogs, wants to please - he needs to move ASAP! If you are interested in helping this young boy, please text Karen at 413-629-8152.

Story
Hi, my name is Twyla! I am a very sweet and energetic girl! I am still very young and have a lot of spunk! I can be uncomfortable around strangers, so I may need a little time to warm up! I have made a lot of friends at Pawmetto Lifeline, and just need to meet new people slowly! I can be picky about my dog friends, so I also need to meet any other pups you have at home! I'm super smart! I know all basic commands! Children scare me easily, so I'd love to be in a home without any or with older kids who understand my boundaries. My adoption fee is $50 and I will also get a yearly exam and core vaccines for life.If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Hello, my name is Aubrey! I love people very much, though I am cautious at first, but would love my own people to love and follow around. When I see my human friends at Pawmetto, even when I haven't seen them in a while, I smile the biggest smile, wag my nub uncontrollably and start running to the door to greet you. I get along with other dogs my size once introduced correctly. I am house and crate trained. I am extremely smart and my foster mom called me "Houdini" because I can get out of a locked crate! I am a couch potato if my human is sitting with me. But don't let me fool you, I love to run and play all of the other times! I will be a great companion dog for anyone. Please come and meet me to see if we are a match. My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?Our adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Saturday. Please complete an application online and you will be contacted if you are approved and a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Hi! I'm Duggie!Duggie is a playful and energetic Lab/Staffordshire terrier mix. He was found at a local church by his future foster parent. From the start, Duggie had a friendly disposition and easily came to his future foster parent without hesitation. Although a stray, he has learned to graze when it comes to eating and enjoys a variety of treats. Duggie gets along with children of all ages and although energetic, he has a very sweet temperament. He loves to cuddle but he is content to sit by your feet while you work. He would do well to have a canine companion of similar size to play with. He would definitely enjoy having one stay at home parent or one parent who works at home. He gets along well with cats. He is doing very well with his training and so far he is learning to sit, stay, come and various other commands. He walks well on a leash overall. He definitely needs a loving home that can provide him with plenty of play time and companionship. Pawmetto Lifeline is offering FREE basic medical care for LIFE for Bianca-all included services listed below!Annual exam for life at Pawmetto LifelineCore Vaccines for life at Pawmetto LifelineFree annual HW test for life at Pawmetto LifelineMedication at cost plus 10% (*doesn't include HW/Flea prevention)Duggie's adoption fee is $50 and is part of our Home to Home Program. Story
Hello! My name is Harry, and I am a 2-year-old Staffordshire terrier. I am full of energy, and I love to play. (Not so much with the furry cats, though, they will probably never be my best friend). To me, all people and dogs are just friends I haven't met yet. I am a very loving guy!I am crate trained (if you have a treat), and would do best being crated when you're gone, I get scared when alone. My ideal home would be with a young, active family with children. My dream is a day of playing, hiking, swimming and then home to the couch for snuggles.Do you have room in your home and your heart for this sweet, crazy, energetic, loving boy?Harry is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. Story
Meet Nalaboo! This sweet 2-3 year old female Staffordshire Terrier mix is looking for her forever home. Nalaboo came to our rescue as a stray and is currently thriving in a loving foster home. Nalaboo is a very loving and friendly dog who adores giving kisses and snuggles. She is super friendly towards humans and is very easy to handle for baths, car rides, and feeding. Nalaboo is also friendly with other dogs, but she is a dominant dog and would do best with a companion who is a bit more on the submissive and easy-going side. She is currently working on her household manners and is making great progress. If you're looking for a loving and affectionate companion who will brighten your days with her playful nature and loving personality, Nalaboo may be the perfect match for you. We promised Nalaboo that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Main Email CARE (caretoadopt@gmail.com), (803) 622-9813 for more information about this pet. The most accurate and up to date information about adoptable pets is on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. American Bully/Staffordshire TerrierWaylon was rescued & adopted by a woman who sadly passed away soon after. He was surrendered to CARE by her family. He does well in a crate, walks well on leash, loves car rides, and is house trained. Waylon is food motivated & has learned to take treats gently. He is smart and does well with training. Waylon would do best with an adult and as the only pet, no kids. He's sweet & playful, but used to resource guard toys & doesn't know his own strength sometimes. He can be protective of his person and home. He should be crated when company visits or work is being done on the house. He should not be introduced to people in his yard or home. Most likely, after a long period of bonding and building confidence in his home, Waylon will be able to have company and understand they aren't taking his person or home away from him. Waylon loves an adventure, loves to be loved on, & keeps his nose to the ground often (would excel at nose work!). This sweet pea is also quite happy relaxing by himself or snuggling on the couch with his person.Adoption Fee: $75 Waylon is currently living in a boarding facility. The staff love him dearly and try to spend extra time with him whenever they can. He deserves a forever family. He is heartworm negative. A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.The most accurate and complete information about available dogs can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. Breeds are sometimes known, but sometimes our best educated guess.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.caretoadopt.org Adoption saves lives! He enjoys the company of other dogs and people, yet is equally okay to hang by himself. He can lounge all day or go on an adventure. It is all the same to him, as long as he has a human to call his own. Will you be Manny's human? Application available at www.wearezeus.org

Story
Hi, my name is Keaton! I came back to Pawmetto Lifeline several years after being adopted as a puppy. My previous owners kept me completely outside, where I never met any humans or dogs, so I am not a huge fan of strangers. But once I get to know you, I am the most loving and affectionate dog! The staff here says I am so sweet and goofy. I would make the perfect companion for someone with a quiet home where I can just be myself. I deserve a home that will make me a part of their family forever. Our adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Saturday. Please complete an application online and you will be contacted if you are approved and a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
