Behavior notes: 03/09/2025 volunteer notes: Got Liam out for some playtime today. He is a very strong boy on his leash and will pull if you let him. A stern no, stopped him in his tracks and he was happy to turn around for treats and took them gently. He’s a big boy with a big heart and a huge head to match. Liam likes attention and wants to be the center of it. Wish there was a yard for him to run around in, because I bet he’d be a blast for playtime. Once back inside he didn’t want to return to his kennel. We made a game out of it, tossing treats, and encouraging him excitedly, and he dashed right in! 03/06/2025 staff notes: In playgroup, Liam was highly aroused and sexually motivated. He was humping the other dogs a lot. He also was very pushy and rowdy with the other dogs most of the time. He was not wearing a muzzle the whole time, but got very pushy when he was not wearing one. 03/03/2025 staff notes: assisted in returning Liam to his ISO kennel as he was giving trouble for the ACA's. He refused to go back when I offered him treats so I used and under belly loop and some leash pressure. 02/26/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Liam was in a crate due to space. He was laying down and stood up with soft eyes and mid level wags. He initially stepped away from the leash but after sniffing it he allowed the handler to easily leash him and exited without issue. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately / strongly. Very strong when he wants to be! HANDLING : Once in the yard Liam sniffed around and explored and then came back over to us with mid level wags and soft eyes. He was very focused on sniffing around and exploring, not caring about engaging with us much, but when he did he had loose relaxed body language. Meet Roxy Lubin! Roxy is 3 years 9 months old, and found herself surrendered to the shelter when her owners no longer had the time or financial means to care for her. Roxy lived with adults as well as a four year old child, with her owner describing her as "great with kids." Roxy was fully housebroken and crate trained, sleeping through the night in her crate, though she could use a helping paw learning leash manners (she likes to pull a bit!). Roxy has a high energy level and would LOVE the opportunity for a more active family setting where she can get plenty of walks and exercise each day. Walks are one of her favorite activities, along with playing with other animals. Roxy's toy of choice is a ball, she loves Busy Bones and Kongs as treats, and she already knows the commands "Sit," "Down," and "Wait." Behaviorally, Roxy has a bit of "stranger danger" and can be nervous or shy when it comes to new people, as well as new dogs. That being said, Roxy has never been aggressive towards a person or dog and simply needs a little time to get to know them before she feels comfortable! Roxy is noted to be super friendly with children. However, she is not a big fan of cats so she would prefer a home with no pets or just other dogs (if they meet each other first and get along well). When asked what Roxy's ideal family and home life would be, her owners made this request: "A loving family that would take her to the park, make her feel like she’s part of the family, that will travel with her. Roxy is very smart, eager to learn, and she’s very aware of her environment. Roxy is a beautiful, playful loving dog, great with kids." Here in the shelter, Roxy is still settling in and is on the fearful, nervous side. Staff noted on 3/2 that they were unable to do a physical exam on Roxy due to her fear level. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally to moderately HANDLING : In the room, Roxy L sniffed around curiously while avoiding me. I called her over many times but she wagged and looked away. She would only approach whenever I wasn't paying attention or had a treat. She jumped up on my lap at one point as I was typing and sniffing my face while wagging her tail. She allowed all over handling and took a treat from me gently. She wasn't the biggest fan of her back legs being held or touched but would just stiffen up. PLAY: No interest TOYS: No interest 03/03/2025 volunteer notes: what a sweet little lady. Roxy Luben is very gentle but she does need a little time to warm up to new friends. Currently staying in a crate due to space, she was no trouble to leash and walked outside with ease. She relieved herself as soon as we got outside, indicating she may be house trained. She was fearful of the loud cars passing by in the yard, so we headed to the cemetery nextdoor to seek a more quiet environment. At the cemetery she opened up and we went for an easy 1.5 mile run! About halfway through our time together, Roxy and I took a short break to get to know each other better. When I reached down to pet her, she flinched at first, so I crouched down to her level and she approached me without issue and accepted all over pets. With some baby talk she was wagging her long tail and even gave me a little nose to nose boop! Her previous owner said she likes to be a part of the family and adventure — I can definitely see that! Bonnie was rescued from the Philly ACCT in September. She is the sweetest dog around people. She is iffy with other dogs she has some dog friends that she plays with regularly. She loves chasing squirrels and cats so a home with out them would be best. She loves running around and is quite good off leash with a good (but not perfect) recall. Currently trying to rehome her because she does not get along with my partners dog! Bonnie would do well in a home where she has space to roam around and explore. A park or yard near by would make her very happy as well as she loves to play fetch. At night she is the biggest snuggle bug and she love to sleep in on the weekends! Bonnie knows sit, paw, stop, high five, come, down and bring it. Bonnie will come with her crate, toys and leash.

I adopted my baby boy when he was 1 month old. His name is JerimyBearimy and he answers to Jer-Bear, Jeri, Señor, and when you say "where's the baby? " Jerimy is 1 ! And he likes to chase his tail and eat treats

Hi my name is Kali. I am up to date on my shots. I am very friendly. I am super energetic and love rubs. I like to poop and pee outside. I like to run around. My parents are having their first baby. I am not aggressive or mean I am just overly happy and excited. They will be very sad that I have to go but it is better for them since they are also very busy with work. I am looking for a new home with lots of space so I can run around, someone who loves rubs just as much as I do. I love to eat treats, bones, and ice. I know what sit, get down, get out, get in your cage, time for sleep, wait, drop and stop mean (sometimes- well most times). I can’t wait to find my new home.

This lady was brought to us with her pups after being found dumped in a yard. She is a sweet gal who had to have been someone's baby. She is housetrained, does well on a leash and likes car rides. She is friendly to everyone and is not aggressive at all. She has never snapped at any volunteer who has met her, nor any visitor. She is a great dog who deserves to have a home again. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Max is 6 months old. He is a rescue dog so I am not sure if he is mixed with anything. He is a happy dog and loves attention. He is a goofy dog. He does know a few commands as sit, down, and off. He is used to being around children. He still needs more training with not jumping on people for attention. He is crate trained. Rehoming Our Sweet Carmel 🐾 I’m looking for a loving family to welcome my 1-year-old puppy, Carmel. He’s a bundle of energy and loves to play, so he’ll need someone who can give him the attention he deserves. Carmel was born from his mom, Gingie, who had a large litter of 9 puppies. We’ve been caring for him while waiting for the perfect family to come along. He’s crate-trained and is working on fully mastering house training — sometimes he makes little mistakes but always tries to use his pee pad. He’s very close to his brother, Tiger, as they grew up together, but unfortunately, with my busy career and the number of dogs I already care for, I can’t give Carmel the time he truly needs. Meet Roxey! She is about 4 months old and weighs 15 pounds. Roxey is an incredibly sweet and affectionate female puppy who loves nothing more than being close to her people. Limoncello is a very smart and adorable and social Puppy, who is in search of her forever home. She has approximately 11 weeks old and weighs just under 10 pounds. She was born to her mom And was one of 11 puppies, but she was the runt. She was so small and not getting enough food that she was put with another mom who Had also just had babies. This other mom only had three pups to feed so taking on the fourth was no problem. Loves attention and affection! She slept through the night, not a peep out of her. She walked so nicely on the leash when we went for a walk. At one point we passed a yard with a reactive dog barking at her and she took notice, but just kept walking nicely. 02/17/2025 volunteer notes: Approaching the kennel she was barking at me, easy to leash up and remove and we walked outside, She was immediately sniffing everything. She met Supreme and had her ears back, tail initially high and wagging then it was middle-to-low, soft eyes, some lick lips, did a few semi play bows and darted back and forth a little. After the initial meeting she wanted to interact with me more, both showing affiliate behavior and also clearly asking to move along from the dog meet. Back inside she was very affectionate towards me, getting on my lap and giving tons of kisses with ears back, soft eyes and overall soft and loose body language. The other handler tried to get her attention when I walked away but she pulled back towards me. She was easy to return to her kennel. 02/15/2025 Day Trip notes: Bella Grace is the sweetest! Thank you for the opportunity to take her out on a day trip today. Bella is the perfect companion, she walks so well and sees the world through her nose. Bella loves treats and people, she walked past other dogs and people with ease and loves loves loves pets. She’s an amazing friendly girl who will make her future family so happy! 02/15/2025 staff notes: Bella Grace did well on her day trip, but was stressed coming back to the shelter. She thrashed (not very intensely) a few times in the lobby as her day trip fosters left. She was panting the whole way back to her kennel, and continued panting once she got back in. She gave me no issues while walking or returning but is clearly stressed and would benefit from getting out of the shelter environment as soon as possible!02/14/2025 staff notes: When I past by TTA, I saw another volunteer was attempting to get timid Kuma out of her kennel. I stopped in to help strategize and brought up the idea of using another dog to lure her out of the kennel. Bella Grace was Kuma's neighbor in TTA so she was the luckily friend! When I approached BG's kennel, she was near the front, quietly awaiting my arrival. BG did dodge the leash a bit but I was able to secure her pretty quickly. BG was a great candidate for the job we had for her. She was patient walking back and forth to help lure Kuma out. It did not take long for Kuma to step out and follow us outside. Once outside, we decided to do some laps around the parking lot with both girls. BG walks pretty well on leash and does not seem reactive to other dogs. Both girls mostly just walked around acknowledging each other every once in a while. BG did solicit attention from me a couple of times, jumping up to say hello. We did a fence met with Kuma and BG. BG initially seemed unsure. She had a high tail, stiff body and her ears were back. Kuma was play bowing and vocal. After a minute or so, BG started to play bow, wag her tail and bounce around. Due to Kuma's timidness, we decided to not conduct a full dog meet at that time. Once Kuma left, I took BG over to the play yard. BG knows sit and takes treats gently. She seems like a mellow girl who's still a bit timid at the shelter. Once BG had some time in the sunshine, she returned to her kennel with no issues! 02/12/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Bella Grace was up on the door when the handler approached with wide eyes and low wags. She got down when the door opened with a neutral body and raised hackles. She allowed ears to snout and was a bit hesitant. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally HANDLING : In the room, Bella Grace roamed around sniffing curiously with a tucked tail and wide scared eyes. She was a bit nervous when approaching the handlers but was trying to be brave and going up to everyone.. She was tolerant of all handling but remained timid and continued to sniff around and avoid the handlers if she could.
