Story
Hi, my name’s G, and I’m a 3-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix (turning 4 soon!). I’m about 60 pounds of love, snuggles, and goofiness. My favorite things are cuddling under blankets, watching TV with my human, and playing tug of war (I’m a pro, or so I think). I’m gentle, quiet, and loving—a big baby at heart who just wants to be near you. I’m pretty low-maintenance but will let you know if someone’s outside or another dog is nearby. Other than that, I’m chill and just happy to hang out. Walks are another favorite of mine—I love sniffing around and exploring. I’m great with people and kids, always excited to make new friends. I’m goofy and funny, too—I guarantee I’ll make you smile! I’d do best as your only pet since cats and other dogs make me anxious. I’m up to date on my shots and ready to bring a lifetime of cuddles and laughs to a loving home. If you think we’d be a good match, reach out—I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Vinny was completely vetted on 10/31/22 and is microchipped. He needs to be the only pet as he is not good with other dogs and cats. He weighed 60 lbs. at the time of vetting. He came to us from an abusive situation where he was starved. He is friendly with adults but probably not good with kids. Please send your phone number to learn more about Vinny.November 2, 2024, 2:03 pm

Hi, I'm Triple H. I'm young, but I've got a big heart. I'm a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'll show you my goofy side. I love playing with toys and exploring new smells. I'm a bit of a goofball, always tripping over my own paws, but that's part of my charm. I'm also very sweet. I love to give kisses and cuddle up next to you. I'm not just looking for a home, I'm looking for a family. Someone to love me, play with me, and show me the world. I promise, I'll give you all the love and laughter you could ever want. Hi, I'm Rupee. I'm still young and full of energy. My days are spent playing with my toys, running around the yard, and napping in the sunshine. I love making new friends and I'm always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a happy bark. I'm a quick learner, too. I've already mastered 'sit' and 'stay', and I'm working on 'fetch'. I have a lot of love to give and I can't wait to find my forever home. I may be young, but I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopt me and let's make some wonderful memories together.

Story
Aries was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer keep him due to landlord issues. He is around a year old and weighs 53 pounds. Aries needed some time to adjust to shelter life but has come out of his shell and enjoys treats and going on walks! He is a shy at first with new people, but treats are the key to his heart! Aires knows sit but will need some work on other commands. He is a sweet guy that would love to have a second chance at finding a loving forever home! Aries has lived with children but may be too much for small children so an age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff. Aries has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Brief Description: This is "Pudge." What you see is what you get...easy going, calm, well...lazy. :) Likes: Being a couch potato, chewing on Nylabones, eating, sleeping...he's a guy with simple pleasures. Dislikes: Having is nails clipped. Having to wait more than 30 seconds for his food when it's being prepared. Personality: Calm. Chill. Quiet (except when food is being prepared for him). Can be stubborn! Temperament: Laid back. Not much upsets or excites Pudge. Energy level: None. Favorite activities: EATING! Watching TV on the couch with his human while he chews a bone. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Cats: unknown; Dogs: great - no issues; Kids: unknown but suspect he would be absolutely fine. Haven't found anything so far Pudge isn't good with. He doesn't particularly care to have his nails clipped or baths but he tolerates both. House trained: Working on it and making good progress. It is uncertain where Pudge came from and/or if he's ever been house trained so, therefore, he was started from scratch and he's come a long way. With a consistent schedule and time to adjust he should do well. Crate trained: YES! Pudge loves his crate. Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence?): No. Walks well on a leash?: When he wants to. Pudge doesn't pull or fight. He just won't walk with his human if it's not where he wants to go. Been working on that and he's doing much better. Challenges: Getting him to socialize more with people and pets. Pudge mostly keeps to himself. He is starting to make attempts to play with the other dogs and humans here and there but needs encouragement. Pudge will need lots of encouragement to get any exercise. Any medical issues?:  Pudge is currently being treated for a persistent skin infection secondary to suspected allergies. He is much improved from when he first arrived. Pudge has recovered well from recent bilateral entropion. Eye irritation and drainage is markedly decreased since the surgery. Pudge has been on a long-term antibiotic treatment and, as a result, he has been having persistent soft stools, however, it's been controlled with feeding Science Diet I/D food and Pepto-Bismol. What would be the best kind of home?:  Pudge would be perfectly happy to be an only dog getting all the attention lavished upon him; however, he is also fine with the other dogs in the household. Pudge is ideal for someone who wants a calm, easy going companion. He is not a hiking, running, or hunting dog by any means.  Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed.
