SCAN QR CODE FOR FULL BIO Earnie came to us from the Muskogee Animal Shelter. We heard the call for help for this guy, born with a defective penis, he was prone to infection without medical intervention. Thank goodness our vets are experienced in this area, after consulting with other surgeons it was decided Earnest needed an operation to change his guy parts to girl parts. The operation was a success and Earnie is so much happier & is just a bundle of joy to be around. He/she is a social butterfly, has never met a stranger or a dog he couldn't wait to meet. He loves toys, chewies, running, car rides, just life in general!! He is an absolute fabulous dog who can't wait to be the newest edition to someone's family!

Story
Meet Georgia, a remarkable 2-year-old American Bully with a big heart and plenty of love to give! At just 40 pounds, Georgia is a compact bundle of muscle and energy, ready to make her next family feel as special as she is. Georgia is a special needs dog looking for a forever home that understands her unique situation. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but her resilience and joyful spirit shine through every challenge she faces. Georgia joined Angel Fund OKC in May 2023 when what was initially suspected to be a snake bite on her back leg didn’t respond to treatment. As a result, Georgia is now a tripod, but this hasn’t slowed her down one bit! In addition to her three legs, Georgia also has a bone in her front leg that grew unevenly, which causes her some discomfort. The pain is manageable with medication, and due to her being a tripod, corrective surgery isn’t recommended. While her health team expects that she may develop arthritis as she gets older (around five years), Georgia is thriving in the present and enjoying life to the fullest. One of the many ways Georgia shows her excitement is by spinning in circles, especially when she’s happy—which is often! She’s a playful, energetic pup who loves interacting with other dogs and is even good with cats. Georgia also enjoys being around children, though she would do best with older kids, as she doesn’t always realize how strong she is. And while she is fully house-trained, there’s one thing her new family should know: when Georgia gets super excited, she sometimes nips at your legs. It’s her way of saying, “Hey, I’m down here! Notice me!”—though, on occasion, the nips can be a bit strong. At home, Georgia is a great companion. She is comfortable in her crate when left alone but loves being able to roam freely at night. Despite her challenges, Georgia continues to be an agile, loving, and joyful dog who’s ready for the right family to embrace her fully. If you’re looking to welcome a truly special dog into your life, Georgia may be the perfect fit. She’s ready to give all the love and joy in her heart to a family that can provide her with the care, attention, and understanding she deserves.

Story
Miss Rosie, is a wonderful, sweet, loving, playful, fun, enjoyable dog to be around and love. We are so sad to have to find a new home for her. We got Rosie from a shelter 3 years ago. She had it rough before us, but you couldn’t tell as loving and warm as she is. Our issue is that our 9 year old German Shepard about a year after Rosie came into our home started having issues with Rosie. They are both females, and have had a couple fights that put both of their safety in jeopardy being around each other. We have tried to figure out, but in the end our only recourse is to keep them completely separated, and that is becoming an impossibility in our daily lives as a household. We just don’t have the right home to be able to care for them both. Rosie would make an outstanding dog for the right home, and we are desperate to find the right situation for her. We cannot allow her to go to a home with another dog, at least one with a female dog. Please take a chance on Rosie. She is the best!

Story
Bo is a stray that was brought into Fur Ever Friends Rescue & Doggie Day Care. He is a friendly. He will need a 6 ft fence. He loves to explore. He is really sweet and loves attention. Please research this breed of dog before considering adopting. First submit an application. Once the application has been received. You will be contacted so we can set up an appointment for you to meet your new best friend. You will need to submit veterinary references and have a fenced in yard. If you currently have other dogs, the following information can help you with introductions. 1.The first introduction between ND and ED should be outdoors in the yard or driveway. Though this is ED’s territory, it is more neutral than inside the house. 2. After the first introduction, immediately take ND and ED on a short walk together. Then bring them inside and feed them a small meal together. Both dogs should be leashed for this so that you can keep them from interfering with the other dog’s food. This sets a precedent for ND being a part of the pack and routine. 3. All interactions between ND and ED need to be positive. If this means they only interact for a few minutes at a time to sniff each other, then this is all they should get. Frequent, positive interactions, especially in the first few days, are vital to having a successful integration.
