This pup is a ball of energy, he's very playful. He needs work on all things puppy-obedience training and an alpha owner are what this boy needs. He is very food & treat motivated and knows the command sit & shake-since he just learned shake it's his go to for treats! He is very affectionate and thinks he's a lap dog. He has the softest fur! The shelter environment is very stressful for Whirligig, he's very reactive to other dogs and does not want to listen to commands. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Update: Check out the new photo of Millie looking out the window ;-) She is looking for a forever home! Millie's foster said she is the perfect house dog and companion, including the best travel buddy-Millie loves road trips in the car!;-) Update: I passed my dog evaluation with flying colors and made 5 new dog friends! Hi .... I'm Miss Millie. I'm so grateful for Love-A-Stray because I was abandoned at Miller Road Park in Avon Lake, the ACO found me wrapped in a blanket;-(. I was taken to the Avon Lake Animal Clinic and after no one claimed me, I was turned over to Love-A-Stray. LAS had me vaccinated and I tested negative for HW. I received 2 medicated baths, ear meds and skin meds. I was underweight, but now I gained 6 lbs and I weigh 57 pounds. Dr Krupka said I'm 7 or 8 years old and my teeth look fantastic. I had some skin issues that are clearing up and I'm looking really GOOD! I'm in a great new foster home and my foster said I'm the perfect house dog!! I walk well on lead and I'm just a very sweet doggy! I would like a cat-less home. If you are interested in me, please submit an online application, so my friends at Love-A-Stray can determine if you are a good match. If you have questions, please email info@loveastraydog.com. LAS does not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. My adoption fee is $ 50.00. If you can't foster or adopt me, please consider donating for my care. Visit www.loveastraydog.com for PayPal, Venmo or mail a check - Attn: Millie to LAS, PO Box 125, Avon Lake, Oh 44012. Thank you very MUCH!

Story
Urgent! Meet Ruby Roo!! Ruby Roo is searching for a new TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME due to her current caretakers work schedule, while she waits for the perfect forever home!! Ruby Roo has some old ripped up toys from all the dogs she loves to carry around, as shown in photo. She is a young pitty weighing about 70 lbs and she is a sweetheart. Ruby is a little shy when meeting new people but after just a little bit of time and patience she warms up, especially for a treat! Ruby Roo is house trained, crate trained, knows her basic commands...she is smart and learns fast. Ruby is fully vaccinated and spayed. Ruby Roo was found running loose, no collar or microchip. A great family took her in to keep her safe and reported finding her to all the required agencies, but no one was looking for this sweet girl ;-(. They contacted Love-A-Stray to help find her a forever home. She has the funniest way of laying with her paws tucked under, as shown in photo, maybe she is praying for her new home! Ruby would do best with a male dog friend or as the only dog. Her current foster has older dogs and Ruby Roo has the typical energy of a young dog, so she is looking for a new foster or home where she can run and play. Ruby would love a fenced yard but is it not required. She has lots of energy and at 70 pounds could knock a toddler down, so we are looking for an active home with children over the age of 10 years old. If you are interested in Ruby Roo please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Ruby Roo would be a perfect match for you and your family. We are looking for adoption within a 100 mile radius of Avon Lake Ohio, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $100.00. If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. You can mail your donation to: Love-A-Stray, P.O. Box 125, Attn: Ruby Roo, Avon Lake, OH 44012 or visit www.loveastraydog.com for credit card/PayPal information, adoption application, available dogs and upcoming events. Thank you!

Meet Speckles! Speckles is so gorgeous! This sweet lady will be 2 years old this April on the 9th. She is a medium sized pit mix. Speckles is currently with our friends at Dog Gone Crazy. A Canine and Feline FUNhouse (DGC) because she needs a foster home! Speckles would like a place to crash or better yet, a forever home! Speckles is a smart little lady and trains with Gary all the time at DGC. Here she is showing TRI volunteer Jen how she's a good leash walker! Speckles knows sit and down. She is good with all aspects of grooming (nails, brushing, bath, ears, teeth, touching body, blowdryer and towel). Story
Meet Violet! Violet got to spend time with her friends at Greystone Veterinary Hospital + Urgent Care on Monday to get her shots updated! And she's filled her schedule later this week to go see her friends at Camp Bow Wow Strongsville to see if she'll do well in daycare! Violet is so sweet and pretty, yet she's had virtually zero interest because she's a pittie. Violet came to TRI on March 10th LAST YEAR! Wouldn't it be amazing if she could find her forever home so she doesn't hit the 1 year mark? Violet is the perfect age at about 3 years old! She is potty trained and does great with the other dog in her foster home. Violet is social and attends a lot of TRI events. She has a gorgeous brindle with white accented coat. Oh, and she's the perfect size at 60 lbs to cuddle! If you're interest in Violet, email us at therescueinn@gmail.com or complete an adoption application here: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
If you want to see some cute videos of me, scroll to the end of the pictures and watch right from here! If I do not currently have any videos up, just have some patience. Hi there! I'm Tuesday, and I'm on the lookout for my forever home! If you're interested in fostering-to-adopt or adopting me or just want to learn more, please text Kristen at 440-376-7995 to set up a meet-and-greet. Adoption fee is being sponsored - to ensure appropriate placement, Tuesday will be available as consultant only - PLEASE text Kristen at 440-376-7995. Here's a bit about me: Housebroken: I'll let you know when I need to go outside by ringing bells or giving you a nudge. Crate-trained: I'm comfortable in my crate, especially if I have some treat-filled toys to keep me occupied. I might get a bit too excited with the toys, though, so it's best to use them mainly when I'm in the crate. Free-roaming: I'm trusted to stay out of the crate now! While my foster mom is at work, I enjoy napping, watching squirrels, or playing with my toys. Quick learner: I know commands like sit, down, stay, come, shake paw, no-jump, and off. I'm still working on heeling, but I can do it on either side. I understand "okay as a cue to relax. Toy lover: I enjoy a variety of toys-fetching them, bringing them to you, or just playing by myself. Active and athletic: Whether it's walking, jogging, or running, I'm up for it! If you prefer a quieter activity, I love running around a yard. Car rides: I'm a pro at car rides and enjoy trips to different places, like the Metro Park. Snuggly: Once I get to know you, I'm all about cuddles and giving kisses! Social skills: I'm working on meeting new dogs. I can be a bit nervous at first, but I warm up quickly. Especially to younger dogs that are respectful. Special needs: I'd be happiest in a home without other animals or a younger dog that will give me time to warm up. I do think I would rather not live with small kids because I don't really like to share my food and toys. If I sound like a good fit for you, get in touch with Kristen 440-376-7995 to arrange a meeting. I can't wait to meet you and see if we're a perfect match!
