Story
Hi My name is Frankie, and I am a sweet boy. Only thing my mom and foster mom have told me is that I can't not be with other animals. I am an only dog household. I want to be the KING. I want to rule. I don't do well they say with small critters or other dogs. I was running loose on the streets for such a long time, and something happened that now I just can't tolerate them. I am scheduled to go to training and boarding for three weeks come 21 Oct. We are all hoping and praying that they can teach me, and I can come out of this. I love my foster mom and the others who have visited me. I have tested positive for Heartworm, so I have been thru a slow kill procedure. I now have to always shave the monthly heartworm pill for the first year to make sure the heartworm is all gone. I love to play and run around in the yard. So a fenced in yard is a MUST for me. And someone that has a little strength to handle me. Thats what my foster mom and others say. I am fully vetted and neutered. I am about 5 years old. I am housebroken and crate trained but I need they say a heavy-duty crate because I am not fond of them crates. They scare me. I was locked up in animal control for some time almost going to lose my life so I am scared to death of those crate things now. If you are interested in adopting me into your home, please contact BARK ANIMAL RESCUE WHO I FALL UNDER. Please

Story
Hi, my name is Natasha, and was found by a Good Samaritan who quickly realized I was pregnant. Luckily, MVPC was able to squeeze me in and I raised seven healthy puppies. Because I, along with my puppies, are unusual looking, MVPC had one DNA tested. The test also gives breeds of each parent, and I have mainly Staffie and American Eskimo! However, realize there are several breeds in there, including Golden Retriever! All of my kids are taller than me now, so if you are looking for a shorter version, I am it. I am a happy, fun girl who loves everyone I meet. I am learning how to play with other dogs, and while I love them, they don’t always love my play, so a tolerant, playful male dog is best! I know all of my commands, but can be subborn! I am scared of thunderstorms, but my foster family is working hard on helping me feel safer and calm during storms. Overall, I am a happy, sweet gal and am going to make an amazing companion! I promise to absolutely keep you laughing all day long. I am so much fun! ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 11/22/2020 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Male only, can go solo CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $175 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Story
Hi, my name is Victoria and I am so glad to be done having puppies. This final round was no fun...there were 11. I'm done. I was also heartworm positive, so even after my puppies went to their foster homes, I still had 30 more days of treatment (meaning quiet time to heal-also no fun). I am ready to go. As in go home, go play, go run, go explore....just go. I want my svelt figure back! I am a very sweet girl and am learning how awesome it is to just be a dog. I am learning all the things...commands, leash walking...and am doing GREAT!! Naturally, I get pretty darn excited to come out of my crate, but once I get the zoomies out, I love to snuggle. The other dogs in the house are fun too and I am learning to play appropriately. Cats are really fun to chase and I get pretty excited when I see one, so any cats in the home need to be dog savvy. I've been smacked by one, but it didn't deter me much. I make myself look and sound even more adorable by "woo wooing" at you when I want your attention. So far, it has a 100% return rate of treats and affection and I am more than ready to conduct this research on my forever family. ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 1/11/21 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Male only, can go solo CATS: Will chase, but may be able to overcome with proper training and energy outlets CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $175 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. Story
Hello everyone! My name is Creek. I came to MVPC from Atlanta. I don't know if it was the real hell or not, but I do know that the devil lived there. I was beaten, kicked, dragged, starved, and cut, then dumped into a creek. That's how I got my name. But that is all behind me now, and I have a new lease on life thanks to MVPC. My body may still carry a few scars, but my heart and spirit are beautiful! I love everyone I meet, big or little. I do prefer my kiddles to be sturdy, because I'm a big, strong, muscular girl. I'm very athletic, and love playing with other dogs. I'm a little rough because I'm just learning, but I correct easily and am getting better each day. I haven't met any cats, so I'm not sure about them. I enjoy car rides and adventures but am also happy to crash in your lap for snuggles and pets. I also enjoy a good run. My foster dad says I'm a great running partner. Whether we go for a light jog or sprint - I can keep up the pace and stay right beside you! Chew toys a favorite, and I'm also learning to play fetch. My foster folks say I'm a smart girl who is doing well learning my commands. I'm a people pleaser, and I'm also treat motivated so that helps. I'm housebroken and good in my crate, and I am working on my leash skills. If you are looking for a happy, silly girl, please check me out. I want nothing more than my very own family to share some lovins with. ADOPTION FEE: $250 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) - MUST have privacy fence. Story
Hi, I'm Joey! I was stranded at an overcrowded shelter and luckily MVPC saw me and rescued me. I am just about the sweetest, most laid-back boy you'll ever meet. I love being outside, playing with my foster siblings, toys and snacks! I have my basic commands down and am pretty good at recall! My crate manners are excellent and I will go to my "room" when you follow me. My fomma says I'm one pretty smart guy! I need a family that will make sure I continue to remember my manners - I'm still a puppy and need to be reminded every so often. Please understand that while I am great on potty and crate training, I will have accidents and may whine some as I adjust to my new schedule and family. As my fomma says, I'm pretty quick to learn so I will adjust in no time!
