Story
Hi My name is Frankie, and I am a sweet boy. Only thing my mom and foster mom have told me is that I can't not be with other animals. I am an only dog household. I want to be the KING. I want to rule. I don't do well they say with small critters or other dogs. I was running loose on the streets for such a long time, and something happened that now I just can't tolerate them. I am scheduled to go to training and boarding for three weeks come 21 Oct. We are all hoping and praying that they can teach me, and I can come out of this. I love my foster mom and the others who have visited me. I have tested positive for Heartworm, so I have been thru a slow kill procedure. I now have to always shave the monthly heartworm pill for the first year to make sure the heartworm is all gone. I love to play and run around in the yard. So a fenced in yard is a MUST for me. And someone that has a little strength to handle me. Thats what my foster mom and others say. I am fully vetted and neutered. I am about 5 years old. I am housebroken and crate trained but I need they say a heavy-duty crate because I am not fond of them crates. They scare me. I was locked up in animal control for some time almost going to lose my life so I am scared to death of those crate things now. If you are interested in adopting me into your home, please contact BARK ANIMAL RESCUE WHO I FALL UNDER. Please

Story
ROSES ARE RED, THIS BOY IS BLUE. HE NEEDS A FAMILY, COULD IT BE YOU? I'm Blue and I am Blue in more ways than one. Blue is my name and rightfully so because I have this beautiful blue coat. When I first arrived here I lost a lot of my blue coat because I was stressed and lonely. But you see, I am also Blue because I am homeless and have lost my hope that there is someone for me. Sure, I am loved and cared for on a daily basis here but nothing compares to a home with a person that loves you and fawns over you daily. I am fortunate to be here because I will be able to stay safe and healthy until someone finds me and sees my true Blue potential. But in the meantime it will continue to make me Blue. Story
This gorgeous Rottweiler/Mastiff mix is Sharon. This girl showed up at the shelter with a broken leg and pregnant. She is healed and all her pups are adopted out to loving homes. It is finally her turn to shine and be adopted. She is 1.5 years old and very sweet. Sharon has a very strong prey drive so she is not a good fit with cats. She also shows aggression towards other dogs so this pup will be better in a home with no other pets. She would need to be on a leash outside or have a fenced in yard as she is curious and will run off. She is fantastic with humans and has been in a foster home. She has had house training and is doing great. Her adoption fee is $150.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.

Story
My name is Izzy and I am one gorgeous pup. I have a lot of energy and would love to have a fenced in yard to exercise in. I can jump a short fence so a 6 foot fence would be ideal. Long walks on a leash is also a great way for me to exercise if a fence is not an option. I am good with kids and all people but I can be a bit aggressive towards other pets so I would do best in a home with no other animals. I would not be a good fit for someone who wants a social pet with other dogs. I am crate trained and house trained and I do pretty well on a leash with a halter. I am active and goofy girl and deep down I just want to have fun. I am around 1.5 years old and 41 lbs.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.

Story
Hi my name is Walter. I am very handsome and muscular. I am very sweet and love giving kisses. I am a strong guy that sometime forgets his size so I would prefer older children in the home. I am a total couch potato. I would rather roll in grass than go for a walk. I am good on leash but my pace is slow. I am ok with other relaxed dogs around my size. I'm not great with smaller animals like small dogs and cats.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-6pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. Story
Hi! My name is Honey. I am a sweet girl once I get out of the crate. I can be leery of new people at first. I may be leery with men but I=it may take time for me to warm up to you. I love to get out to run and play. I do pull on leash a little but with some training I can do better. I'm usually quiet for a little bit till other dogs start barking. I am selective with other dogs. No Cats for me. I will not leave them alone and might hurt them. I'm cute and looking for the right home.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-6pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm.
