Story
Bruno came to us severely neglected. After months of love and medical care this big goofy boy is ready for a family. He is best with female dogs and has several play gals she pals around with Male dogs make him grumpy. He is a gentle lower energy boy He is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. he was a stray at Hoke County who found himself st the euthanasia door and one of our volunteers was there and took him home to foster. He couldnt see such a sweet goofball lose his life. He has surgery for eye entropian so the skin around his eyes is looking better. He does have some sensitive skin as a lot of white dogs do so a fish based diet is recommend All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
Well hello everypawty! Did you say you wanted to get to know me? Well, lets see, I love humans, but other dogs are a hit or miss, so me being the only pet in your home would be the absolute best! Even though I have an awesome professional trainer working with me, I can be a little reactive to other dogs while going on walks, so having a fenced in backyard where I can run and play would be way better! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love walks, but it will have to take a special someone to work with me to make sure I listen while going out on adventures away from home! I also love it when someone throws toys for me! If you don't have a great throwing arm, that's okay, because I'm great around kids, so an awesome family giving me attention also works for me! To adopt me, please fill out an application at lpah.org/adoption.

Story
Alright folks, not to brag but I'm kind of a big deal. Here is a little bit more about my fabulous personality: I'm medium to high energy, so that means my perfect family will be active. You like long walks? How about playing fetch in the back yard? Then I'm your gal! Do you like to shop? Well then, I love toys! So you can shop for me all day and pick out the coolest ones! I do love to chew them though, so you'll have to shop quite often! If you get cold easily, then don't worry I can keep you warm! I'm quite snuggly and I love attention! If you would like to adopt me, an application can be filled out at lpah.org/adoption.

Story
Seeking to re home our Staffy. Our family adopted King from a local shelter. He is a year old and will be 2 in December. King needs an assertive owner and will thrive in a single dog household. He does well with children and people. My youngest is 6. Of course, interactions should always be supervised. King does not interact well with some male dogs. He interacts with female dogs fine. Our family is currently working with him and a dog trainer. Not sure about cats as we’ve never had any. He was very curious when we took in a lost cat for a few hours while we found its owners. He is high energy, very loving, affectionate, playful and wants to please. He is house trained, crate trained, follows commands, microchipped, and walks well. His crate, muzzle and e collar will be included. Everything we've bought for his training. King is UTD on all vaccinations and rabies.

Story
Lucy is approximately 6 years old and looking for her forever home! She is a big love sponge and has never met a stranger. For the first 5 years of her life she was kept outside in a small pen but for the last year has adjusted beautifully to being an inside dog. She is crate trained and housebroken, sleeps in the crate at night and is crated with her favorite kong toy or bone when home alone. Lucy is high energy and would do best in a home with a large yard or the ability to take her on a long walk daily. She knows several basic commands and is a fast learner with endless potential to learn tricks. Lucy loves to chew on bones and toys but has never chewed any shoes or furniture. She has played well with other dogs but plays fairly rough and needs to be supervised during playtime. She injured another small dog in the home which has prompted us to rehome her. Lucy’s ideal home has no cats or small dogs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › **Please read the full bio for Cooper ** Meet Cooper. Isn't he handsome? The pictures are great but honestly don't do him justice of just how handsome he is. He is ~63 pounds of smushy gray fur with white markings. He has the cutest little underbite. Cooper is looking for his forever home - one who is dedicated to just Cooper as he needs to be the only pet in the home. He is a smart boy - he knows sit, leave it, lay down, recall, & stay! He is a strong boy & needs an experienced handler that will continue to work on his manners & leash skills. In his original home, Cooper lived with 10 & 12 year-old boys from the time he was 8 weeks old until he was 11 months old & he loved them very much. He is equal parts active AND chill - he likes to lie down on his bed with a bone or yummy peanut butter & treat-filled KONG as much as he enjoys doing the zoomies in the yard. Playing fetch is his favorite pastime - tennis balls are a must in the new home. When he is done, he’s ready to lounge & is happy to hang out with you or by himself. A DNA test was done which says he is a mixture of Labrador Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier, hound, & Chinese Shar Pei.   Cooper was adopted when he was a young puppy & was very loved. He was adopted into a home with a 2 year-old dog who was also a Pawfect Match dog. She loved him as a puppy, but started to indicate that she no longer wanted another dog in her home. They both had high energy play styles & a few play sessions escalated & were difficult to break up, with neither dog relenting. Cooper didn't take kindly to being told no by her & continued to assert himself. She then didn't take kindly to being ignored. It caused a stressful situation for both dogs. Because of this, it was decided Cooper needed to be the only pet in a furever home so was returned to the rescue. ***Cooper is the 'pawfect' match for a household with no other pets - an adopter looking for a wonderful, smart, handsome dog with so much to offer is who will be his pawfect match. Cooper needs a home with a true FENCED yard so that he can burn off energy & play fetch without the ability to get into trouble. Cooper is not going to be a candidate for a dog park or doggie daycare. Cooper received a good deal of training prior to returning but he will need an adopter who will commit to ongoing training & whatever he needs. Could YOU be that 'pawfect' match? Could you be the furever home for Cooper? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 9:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello, my name is Pudge! I am a spunky silly boy that just can’t get enough attention. I love my people and my foster sister! We love to play, run and chew on treats. I can be somewhat timid around people because I’m still not sure about them. Once I get attached to you, I'm your best friend and you are mine. I like being pet but I really love to play and to run! I’d love to be with someone who likes to play a lot and then snuggle up for a nap. Like any puppy, I do get into things I'm not supposed to. I'm learning what I can chew and what I shouldn't chew. I am pretty good with my housetraining, but due to my age still have occasional accidents. I do have one weird quirk. I only like to poop outside at night! I will go when I am running around outside but prefer the cover of the dark sky. Maybe my name should be Batman!  I'm already neutered and up to date on on vaccinations. I do need a home with another dog. Ollie loves his people **so much** that it is best if he is an only dog. He needs someone who will dedicate their time to spoiling him and giving him all of their love. It takes a little time for sweet Ollie to warm up to new people, but once he does, he becomes your shadow. He loves to run and play fetch. He regularly get the zoomies chasing his tail and loves to play chase. Ollie gets the whole body wiggles and loves to talk to you when he gets excited about a toy he is holding. He is a very sweet boy and just needs someone to take the time to get to know him.  Ollie is a sweet, loving dog that enjoys couch time and cuddles.  He was adopted as a puppy but needs to be re-homed as he and the resident dog no longer get along.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 2:18 pm
