Story
Maximo is 5 years old, home-trained, very much a couch potato that wants belly rubs consistently. He does well with other dogs but needs time to adjust to them, due to being attacked a couple of times as a puppy. Maximo was a rescue at first, he was found in the woods with his siblings and I ended up keeping him for a bit. I put him through training and have tried training him myself but I am minimal on time due to my job and various hours. I went through a divorce a few years back and it has been tough giving him and my other dog as much attention necessary. It breaks my heart leaving them home 10+ hours a day, by the time I'm back its late. At this point I think it is best to find him a home that would give him the attention he needs and deserves.

Story
Midas is a Velcro pup that absolutely loves running and being around his person/people. I originally got him at FAPS in 2022 after retiring and it was amazing! Since rejoining the workforce last year and being in a condo, Midas has not been doing as well. He's very anxious and on medication which calms him, but I know that in the right home, he probably wouldn't need to be on them. I'm looking for a home that has a better, more consistent schedule, and hopefully a yard! He's a very happy and energetic almost 5 year old (in March) boy, but also very snuggly and sweet.

Story
Hi there! My name is Mommaccino, and I am a friendly, affectionate, brave, curious, independent, smart, playful and athletic dog. I am also great with children and other dogs! I am an adult, but you would never know it because I have the energy of a puppy and the soul of a wise old dog. I love to play and explore, but I also love to cuddle up with my humans. They're teaching me how to be a good house dog and learn some basic commands. I had a rough time until a Good Samaritan found me with my pup, Pupaccino, and asked JCAPL to help us find furever homes. But that's okay because it has only made me stronger and more appreciative of the good things in life. Now my pup has gone to her new home. If you give me the chance, I promise to be your very best friend and bring you endless amounts of joy. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Story
Hello! My name is Gucci, and I am an affectionate, playful, and curious dog. I love to run around and explore, and I would make a great companion for anyone who loves the outdoors and going on adventures. I am very athletic, and I love to play with toys indoors and outside. I'm also happy to cuddle up and relax with my foster family while they read, or work, or watch tv. I'm fully house trained, and I sleep in my crate every night. My fosters are teaching me some basic commands. Can you imagine what my life was like before I came to JCAPL? I was used as a breeding dog, and then abandoned by my humans. I can't see out of my left eye, and sometimes children and tall humans startle me; but I like them when I get used to them! Even though I have been through a lot, I still love people and get along with other dogs and even cats. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
My name is Carrie. I'm a big girl now at two months old, and I'm excited to find my furever home! I'm a playful puppy, happy and smart. I love to cuddle with kids and grownups, and I have the best time exploring All The New Things, and playing with my toys, my sister, and other dogs! I use a doggy-door at my foster home, and I'm getting better at house-training, sleeping in my pen with my sister, and eating all my food so I'll grow big and strong. My Momma and my sister Kelly (pictured) are also looking for their furever homes, so if you know anyone who might want to adopt them, please send them our way! If you're looking for a fun-loving, sweet, and adventurous companion, look no further than your girl Carrie! * Please note Carrie's Momma is shown in the last photo--and her father is unknown. Carrie will be spayed by our vet when age-appropriate, which is included in the adoption fee. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen?
