Story
Meet Blaise! If you are looking for a high energy but cuddly and loving dog, Blaise is the girl for you! It’s been a rough year for poor Blaise... she just can't seem to find the right fit for her unique outlook on life. She needs to be in a home that has a fenced in yard to show off her amazing “zoomie” skills. Blaise is looking for a person who will keep her mentally stimulated. Estimated Birthday: 12/10/2018 Breed: Part staffy/part lab/all sass Weight: 55 pounds - Blaise is a smart, curious girl who loves to explore. She absolutely loves to go on hikes! She will sniff every plant, leaf, bug, rock… anything she comes in contact with. - She can walk very well on a leash with anyone who follows the expectations set up through previous training. With that said, she is reactive to other dogs so crowded areas around other dogs are not ideal places for her to explore. She can be especially vocal when she sees another dog, and she has a very unique voice that will definitely get attention. - Blaise is a rock star inside the house. Completely house and crate trained, she loves to hang out with her people either on the couch or in the bed. She just wants to be wherever they are. - As long as she gets her energy out either with a run, a good walk with lots of amazing smells, and some mind-stimulating games, she just wants to cuddle. Blaise is seeking an adopter who will continue professional training for her socialization skills and obedience. She needs to be the only pet in the home (no other dogs or cats) and because of her high energy no kids under the age of 15. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Blaise is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Breed: Staffie mix Estimated Birthday: 11/12/2018 Weight: 60 pounds This girl is the definition of sweet and loving . She loves every human she meets and will look to her human to advocate for her and keeping up with her training. She loves to go on walks and adventures. She loves playing and has the occasional daily zoom zoom which is super cute to watch. Once she’s done, she will lay right down for a cozy nap. Mila Grace is 100% deaf so you will see in some of the photos she has an e-collar on. She is trained that vibration means come look at me . Her forever home will want to ensure they get one of these for her as this is your tool of communication. Keeping up with her training is key for this girl so she will need someone patient and willing to work with her 🙂 She is a huge ham like most pittie breeds and is an attention seeker. Her only downfall due to the breed she does have a high pray drive so no small animals would work in Mila Grace's forever home. She corrects well and is highly motivated with treats 🙂 She has gone through professional training to help her the perfect home for her. We’re still testing her with other dogs around her size but would do well with those that have a more submissive demeanor and can match her play style Apply to meet Mila Grace today! Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Mila Grace is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
This not so little nugget is Yosemite Sam. Yosemite was adopted last season from Mama Lola's Looney Tunes litter.  Yosemite's about 10 months old now and is looking for a new forever family. Here's the basics: *We've had him in to our vet for a complete checkup.  *He's fully vetted, neutered and up to date on all vaccines.  *Our trainer has been out to visit and was impressed with the level of training that he's had already. Yosemite Sam is house trained, crate trained, and a dream on leash. He's a super smart very good boy who is attentive to his person and enjoys learning new things. He's been living in his current home since adoption and has done very well with general house & people manners. Yosemite's about 65ish pounds and has ears for DAYS! Though still technically a puppy, he's the best of both worlds. He's young, healthy, and loves to play, but he's done with the potty training, crate training, and most importantly - the teething. He lives with another dog and little human kiddos, and he would probably be happy just about anywhere. We think his dream home would include walks & a yard to play in, but the rest is negotiable! Yosemite Sam is a super duper good boy and he needs a family that will love him for the rest of his life.  To learn more or to submit an adoption application please visit our website https://www.pitsandgigglesrescue.org/adopt  ##1723063##

Onyx is 6 years old. She extremely mild mannered and laid back. She is 100% a house dog. Onyx is house trained and would be the perfect companion for someone that's homebound because she's not a big fan of being outside or even going for walks. She will alert when someone approaches the home. Her growl and bark are very intimidating yet misleading. She's an extremely sweet dog and deserves a loving and caring home.

Story
I’m Gatlin, a beautiful brindle American Staffordshire terrier mix who would love to have a forever home for my senior years. (I’m Gatty or Gatty-girl to my friends at the Humane Society of York County.)I came to HSYC from York County Animal Services. My estimated birth date is September 2013, and I’m about 55 pounds.Though I’m a senior citizen, I’m an active, strong girl who loves playtime in the yard at the rescue. I particularly love squeaky balls and am adept at taking them apart! I also enjoy my daily walks, which help me get out my energy and enjoy time outdoors with my human friends.I’m selective about the people I want to spend time with – if I love a person, I really, really love them. The same is true if I don’t. I’m a very smart girl and I read people very well!As much as I love to play with a ball in the yard, I would much rather spend quality time with the many people I love. I need to be the only pet in my forever home, and no small children. A dog-savvy person or family that is willing to give me time to adjust is important – time for us to connect and build trust. If you have the calm, stable home I’m craving, please call to meet me!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
My husband and I rescued Toby when he was about three years old. He’s now closer to 10 years old. He is a sweet boy and couch potato, really doesn’t care to be outside. He really just prefers a soft bed and warm blanket. He’s quiet and calm for the most part. Only barks when the doorbell rings. Toby can find his place in anyone’s home with pets and children. Due to economic stress, I have to take a traveling job and unfortunately, Toby cannot come with me.

Story
We adopted this sweet girl wanting desperately to show her some love and stability. When we got her she had the fur worn off of her neck where she had been tied up, we are pretty sure she was used for breeding for the short 2 years she has been alive. She is the sweetest, most grateful little love ever. Unfortunately, she is very aggressive towards our cats and we cannot continue to keep her. We are devastated 😢 but I desperately want to find her a new home and not dump her back at the shelter with no hope. We just want her to have the family and life she deserves. We took her in for her vet visit on 10/22/24. She is fully up-to-date on all vaccines, microchipped, and received a clean bill of health otherwise. She is house trained as well. Because she was used for breeding and has recently had a litter of puppies. The vet can't safely spay her for another 3 months, which I will gladly cover the cost for when she is cleared for surgery!

These pups are in Charlotte, North Carolina too!

Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Herbie find loving homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Could your family be the one Herbie's been waiting for? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
This very special purebred English bulldog girl is called Natasha she's a fabulous representation of the English bulldog breed. Found is a stray at a construction side in a very rural county of Tennessee, this girl immediately captured the hearts of those that saw her tied up with just a bag of food sitting next to her. She is 8 to 10 years of age and we're thinking more eight rather than 10. Weighing in at 42 lb she's the perfect size and she does have sometimes a little slow gait and glucosamine with chondroitin and some joint meds definitely are in order at this stage of her middle-aged life. Her foster mom had never been around a English bulldog and was very curious as to how much she would learn about the breed by fostering. She was so pleasantly surprised and has enjoyed this delightful, happy, casually easy going, mellow girl. She is housebroken she is crate trained she is great with young children, a potbelly pig, a donkey, some horses, cats and dogs alike. There is no living thing that breathes that she doesn't like and will try to get to know. You hardly know she's around because she's so quiet and just so  tranquil and peaceful.  Natasha may be a little on the older side than you might think of adopting, but you need to trust us when we say she will be one of the best dogs you've ever had cross the threshold of your home and heart.  She brightens everyone's day and loves her way deep into your soul so quickly. We love Natasha and you will too. Give her a chance to prove to you that you made the best dog rescue decision ever. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com If you are interested. Please tell us what city and state you live in. She is in Tennessee and we transport to the Northeast for adoptions as well as adopting in the Middle Tennessee area   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm
