Story
Ben is a sweet boy but likes to check out humans from a distance at first. Once he decides your OK which happens pretty quickly, he is very friendly. He's OK on a leash after a few minutes of excitement. He has lots of Lab qualities, retrieving etc. He is a typical Lab/Staffie mix. He would have to be introduced to a doggie friend but so far seems OK with them. He will need someone who can give him a routine and boundaries. He would be best in a home with kids over 10 years old. He loves his toys and loves to play. And look at that smile!

Story
Hi, my name is Courage. I'm new here. My life hasn't been so great. My previous owner kept me in a crate 24 hours a day. You'll notice my fur isn't so bright and white. I was forced to relieve myself in my crate and sleep in it. That's not the only bad thing that's happened to me 🙁 You'll also notice I'm underweight. I have numerous areas with crate sores and stress chewing. To top it off, I was found tied to a pole! I am currently in my uprise Era! Bleus K9 rescue is doing everything to make sure I'm settled in, comfortable, getting cleaned up and gaining weight. It has been a steady pace and I am adjusting nicely. I have a bright future ahead of me.🌞 I was named Courage because they can see how much I have and how bad I want to be a good boy and enjoy this new world. I can have dog friends when I am out and about but prefer to have the house and family to myself. Cats unknown and I prefer older kids. I am crate trained and housebroken. Won't consider making me a part of your family? 💕🐾 To meet Courage fill out our adoption application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSftnYfej0sD5YBq6NfW_bV4VvpZh9StksaZPH4XkxxUTyySkg/viewform

Story
Looking for an adventure buddy? Then Badger is looking for you! This dude is always game for literally anything you want to do. Want to go on a hike for miles and miles? Sign him up! Want to go on a car ride and just drive around for a while? He’s down! Want to teach fun tricks? This dog can learn them all! This goofball is about 2 years old and is so ready to love a family of his own, he just needs one that can keep up with his high energy. But once he’s had his exercise, he’s the biggest cuddler you could ever imagine! What breed of dog he is exactly is a bit of a mystery, he was originally purchased as a Cane Corso (doubtful) and our best guess is that he’s a Pit/Staffy combo with something else, maybe husky, thrown in there too, but honestly, your guess is just as good! The first family he was with didn’t appreciate his energy and kept him crated for most of the day so he never learned manners or how to manage his energy. When he became too much for them to handle, they surrendered him to the local dog warden, where he was kept in a kennel run, which was bigger, but still not ideal for his energy. While he was there, he became very anxious and that led to him being very mouthy whenever he was around people, constantly grabbing the leash he was on. Because of his high energy and anxiety, it was decided that he wasn’t a candidate for adoption from the warden and they instead reached out to us. And we are so glad they did, because this dog is a GOOD dog. Badger went to what we lovingly call training boot camp with a trainer we have worked with many times before and he came back fully trained and having amazing manners. He does still get very excited and needs a family that will be able to remind him about those manners, but once he’s reminded he goes right back to being perfection. No young kids for Badger because of how rambunctious he can get with someone who doesn’t enforce his boundaries, but he does ADORE kids and would do amazingly with an active family with older kids. He’s done well meeting other dogs while he’s been with us, but he can be a bit of a loudmouth when he plays, which can be overwhelming for other dogs, so he may require multiple meetings if you have another dog. Badger is fully housebroken, crate trained, loves car rides, walks well on the leash, and honestly we could just keep going about how cool this dog is, but it’s probably best for you to just come meet him and see for yourself! He is neutered, microchipped and fully up to date on his vaccinations. We typically ask for an adoption donation of $250 for our dogs, but since Badger is in our Underdog Program, we aren’t asking for any donation at all, we’re just asking for a family that loves him and gives him the best home possible! If you are interested in adopting Badger, you can fill out an adoption application for him on our website, waywardranch.org, or reach out if you have any questions about him!

London arrived via Animal Control and is an incredibly sweet girl who is excelling in her leash training. As she is still a puppy, ongoing training is essential. She is quite nervous in the kennel and urgently needs a loving home. Come meet London and consider giving her a forever home for the holidays; she will be eternally grateful.
