Story
Looking for an adventure buddy? Then Badger is looking for you! This dude is always game for literally anything you want to do. Want to go on a hike for miles and miles? Sign him up! Want to go on a car ride and just drive around for a while? He’s down! Want to teach fun tricks? This dog can learn them all! This goofball is about 2 years old and is so ready to love a family of his own, he just needs one that can keep up with his high energy. But once he’s had his exercise, he’s the biggest cuddler you could ever imagine! What breed of dog he is exactly is a bit of a mystery, he was originally purchased as a Cane Corso (doubtful) and our best guess is that he’s a Pit/Staffy combo with something else, maybe husky, thrown in there too, but honestly, your guess is just as good! The first family he was with didn’t appreciate his energy and kept him crated for most of the day so he never learned manners or how to manage his energy. When he became too much for them to handle, they surrendered him to the local dog warden, where he was kept in a kennel run, which was bigger, but still not ideal for his energy. While he was there, he became very anxious and that led to him being very mouthy whenever he was around people, constantly grabbing the leash he was on. Because of his high energy and anxiety, it was decided that he wasn’t a candidate for adoption from the warden and they instead reached out to us. And we are so glad they did, because this dog is a GOOD dog. Badger went to what we lovingly call training boot camp with a trainer we have worked with many times before and he came back fully trained and having amazing manners. He does still get very excited and needs a family that will be able to remind him about those manners, but once he’s reminded he goes right back to being perfection. No young kids for Badger because of how rambunctious he can get with someone who doesn’t enforce his boundaries, but he does ADORE kids and would do amazingly with an active family with older kids. He’s done well meeting other dogs while he’s been with us, but he can be a bit of a loudmouth when he plays, which can be overwhelming for other dogs, so he may require multiple meetings if you have another dog. Badger is fully housebroken, crate trained, loves car rides, walks well on the leash, and honestly we could just keep going about how cool this dog is, but it’s probably best for you to just come meet him and see for yourself! He is neutered, microchipped and fully up to date on his vaccinations. We typically ask for an adoption donation of $250 for our dogs, but since Badger is in our Underdog Program, we aren’t asking for any donation at all, we’re just asking for a family that loves him and gives him the best home possible! If you are interested in adopting Badger, you can fill out an adoption application for him on our website, waywardranch.org, or reach out if you have any questions about him!

Fruity Pebbles aka Tutti Frutti aka Fruit Loops aka Frutti Toots aka Toots..... as you can see I'm having waaaay too much fun with this lol ! And I'm having too much fun with Tutti Fruitti! Toots is about 2 years old and is a 45lb low rider. She is so silly, always has a smile on her face and her tail is always waggin! She does well with other dogs, has not been cat tested at this time and would do best in a home with gentle, respectful children 8 an up. Toots walks well on leash, knows basic commands, is crate trained and house broken once on routine. She is a little princess, and though she gets bursts of playful energy, she mostly likes to just sploot out around the home, office, or pool and eat snacks as you can see. She isn't one for the heat, this low key girl prefers the spa to hiking in the woods. She does have a go anywhere do anything personality as long as where ever your going doesn't lead to breaking a sweat lol! Toots is spayed, completely vaccinated, heartworm negative and on prevention. If you are considering opening your heart and home to a luxury loving mini house hippo than please consider Tuitti Frutti! Story
Meet Reese Reese...this little girl is a gem, a diamond in the rough. Hit by a car at 6 months of age, she was stitched back together by a wonderful veterinarian. That was four years ago. While she has visible scarring from the trauma, and only partial use of one of her rear legs, she doesn't let any of that stop her from enjoying life in the sun. Reese is gentle and loving. She is 4 years old and weighs about 35lbs. She is pint sized with a peg leg! Reese gets along with other dogs and would do best in a home with gentle respectful children. Reese knows some basic commands, walks well on leash, is crate trained and house broken. This lovely little lady has waited long enough for her very own home. Could her dreams of napping on princess pillows come true bc of you?! Story
Meet Hashbrown Hash has it all! Stunning good looks, personality and smarts! Hash is 3 years old and weighs about 55lbs. Hash is a pretty laid back guy and just likes to hang around with you. He does well with calm respectful dogs, we recommend a home without cats, and he would do best in a home with gentle, respectful children 10 and up. Hash is nothing but sweetness, but also doesn't know his size, something littles may not appreciate during play time. Hash love toys! He is such a clown when it comes to the stuffys, he throws and tosses them into the air before ripping and romping them to shreds. He walks well on leash, knows basic commands and then some, he is food motivated and eager to learn more. Hash is crate trained and house broken. He is a pretty affectionate but a dignified guy, and though he isn't much one for belly rubs he is sure up for some rump scratch's! Hash is a sweet kind fellow, looking for a laid back on the quiet side home. If you are considering opening your heart and home to a brainy hunk consider making has part of your family. He is looking forward to listening to all the bed time stories!!
