Story
Etta about just over 2 years old, was told she was 6 weeks old on 1/15/23. We have had her since 1/19/23. Spayed, microchip, lifetime license current on shots, good with people and other pets. She is very food motivated and learns quickly, knows basic commands. She likes cats but ours isn't a fan of her.She is a very athletic dog, an active owner and room to run would be perfect! Etta is sweet, goofy, playful dog and deserves a home she that has time and room for her to perfect her athletic abilities.. Rehoming fee negotiable, we just really want her to have a good home. She does have mild environmental allergies and has had vaccines reactions.

Story
Ophelia is a very special dog here at Rosebud Rescue and has been with us for over a year while we worked with her, and she is finally ready to find her perfect forever home. Ophelia is 100% deaf and because of this will ONLY be available on a foster-to-adopt basis for a minimum of 3 months to ensure it is the perfect fit. Ophelia is around 3.5 years old and just under 50lbs. She can be a tiny bit shy at first but will smother you in kisses in no time! She loves attention, toys, and playing with other dogs, but will mirror them and match their energy level. She is incredibly smart and knows several hand signals for training commands, and really loves it when you find ways to communicate with her! She is trained to report to you with the flash of a light, so recall from the yard or other side of the room is a breeze. She cannot live with cats or uncaged small animals due to her prey drive. She is crate trained but can be a bit vocal and would rather be confined to a room when left, though she doesn't have a tendency to get into things she shouldn't have. Ophelia has a history of getting overstimulated in new situations, which turned into anxious energy and an unfocused dog. She was recently started on generic Prozac and it has really helped to manage this. It is affordable and easy to administer, a potential adopter would need to keep her on this medication. While adventures outside of the house are still a work in progress, she has made a lot of improvement over the last 2 months or so! She does walk on a gentle leader, but is a VERY strong dog so someone who can handle her weight while out and about and continue working on loose leash walking is a must. We know little about Ophelia's past other than it appears she had many litters of puppies in her short life before she got to us. It is unknown if her missing ear was due to an injury or a failed crop job. She will cower if you move too fast or pick up an object, leading us to believe she wasn't treated very well. She was passed around to a few different owners before she ended up with us after seeing a plea from a good samaritan who took her in but could not keep her long term after seeing her posted on Craigslist for rehoming, with the reason that they couldn't call her in from the yard! Ophelia is looking for a home without young children due to her size and energy level. NO CATS. A fully fenced yard is required, and she thrives in the company of dogs so there must be at least another resident dog in the home. If a very special adopter with no dogs is ready for 2, she has plenty of adoptable friends here as well! Ophelia is accepting applications and is currently available for meet and greets with approved adopters! If you’re interested in adopting her or getting pre-approved for our other dogs, please fill out the adoption application at www.RosebudRescue.com/adopt

Story
Bear is a special boy. He requires a lot of love and patience. He is still young at the age of 1.5 years old. Bear is full of energy. He loves to run, play with his hard rubber toys, and especially cuddle with his people. He is a bit clingy at first because of how much he loves being around everyone. He is excellent with other dogs and cats. He is also great with people of any age. He hasn't had much exposure to young children but I'm sure with how well he does with adults and older kids, he will do just fine with little ones. Bear is beyond adorable and looking for a more stable home right now. He will become family as soon as you meet him. He is a little love and just wants the perfect home. Unfortunately due to our situation, our landlord is now requesting that no dogs to be allowed in the apartments. We cannot make a move right now and bear deserves the world. Give this boy a chance. You wont regret it. PS: he loves car rides and adventures wherever he goes.
