Meet Julius!Julius is a charming young male dog with a sweet, shy personality. He’s calm and easy to walk, making strolls a delightful experience—though he does love to take his time, stopping to sniff every interesting scent along the way! While Julius shows interest in meeting other dogs, he can be a bit forward in his approach, so a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a smooth introduction. He does have moments of high arousal but is eager to learn and grow, making him a great candidate for a training class.Julius would thrive in a family with older children who can appreciate his gentle nature. With his love for exploration, he’d make an excellent hiking or running partner, always ready for the next adventure! If you`re looking for a loving companion who enjoys the great outdoors at a relaxed pace, Julius is your guy! Come meet him and see if he’s the perfect addition to your family!

Story
Tally is a sweet young pibble ready to win your heart. Just look at those eyes! Tally is a very calm little lady who is delightful to be around. She would thrive with a human who has some time to spend helping her continue to build up her confidence. She is a little overwhelmed by all the noise and activity in the shelter, but she picks up on your calm and encouraging words quickly. She shakes off her timidness after a few minutes, and once she warms up, she shows a lot of interest in working for treats and in what you're doing. She has blossomed during time she has spent with foster caregivers and when she gets extra time outside of her kennel. She loves chasing bouncy balls and running around in yards. Indoors, she's perfectly content to snuggle up next to you on the couch or lay on a pillow with a chew toy or rawhide. She likes being talked to and petted. She has experience playing nicely with some of her shelter doggo friends that are around her size and energy level. She has also done well playing, walking and living with other dogs who have become familiar to her. Tally loves nothing more than getting some play time and then being by your side, soaking up plenty of pets and love. If you would like to help a sweet little gal continue to flourish, or if you're just looking for a cuddle bug to stay warm and cozy with, Tally is your gal. She can't wait to meet you! Her foster caregiver says, "Tally did well with crate training. She is a sweet, well-behaved girl who enjoyed playing with our other dog and stuffed toys." A team member says, "Tally is just adorable. She's very treat-motivated and absolutely loves string cheese. If you give her a little time, and you have a little patience to coax her out of her shell, you'll be rewarded with lots of sniffs and kisses." Another team member says, "I spent some time with Tally in her room, working on some commands and just loving on her. She warms up really quickly once the treats come out, and she'll gladly climb onto your lap, sniff around behind you, etc. if you play hide and seek with the treats. After a few minutes, she was giving me kisses and laying down beside me for pets."

Story
Meet Willow. She was found as a stray in the middle of winter and was suffering from demodectic mange, which caused this sweet girl to lose some of her fur and be uncomfortably itchy. But just as willow trees are known for their ability to grow and thrive in tough conditions, our girl Willow has made a full recovery and is ready to find her forever family. Now that her fur has grown back, she loves nothing more than getting scritches and pets. This big girl is convinced she's a lap dog - one of her favorite things to do on her walks is hop up on a bench and have you sit beside her while she gradually wiggles her way onto your lap for snuggles. If you give her a smooch, she will give you one right back. She walks well on a leash and will proactively sit like a perfect lady for treats. She's been polite to other dogs she's met on her walks, and when she's come across the occasional stray cat, she's been curious but hasn't chased them. She's a good listener, and you can easily get her to refocus with treats. If you're looking for a very good girl to be your loyal companion, Willow is here waiting for you. A team member says, "Willow is such a sweet girl. She's been a champ throughout her treatment, and now that she has her cone off and feels better, her personality really shines. She's a big ol' lovebug who likes to sit right beside you and flop around for all the pets you can give her."

Story
Dakota is a purebred American Boxer who came to us at one year old after his previous owner passed away from cancer. He is an incredibly sweet and mellow family dog—gentle with kids and babies, never licks, and loves to be pet. He’s so calm that I’ve even sat with him under my desk while working and on Zoom. He gets along great with people and other dogs! With weekly training, he no longer jumps on people, and his wall-jumping has greatly improved. However, his strong prey drive has been difficult to curb. Our chickens are essential to our livelihood, and despite our best efforts, he has gotten into the coop. He has also begun going after our sulcata tortoises. As a family of five with three young children, we can no longer provide the right environment for him. Dakota is now 3 years old, and we’re looking for a loving home with no small animals (other than dogs). He would thrive with an active family and would love to go with his pack mate, Wormy (who will have a separate post).
