Story
Brady is a fun-loving, toy enthusiast searching for his forever home! This handsome pup LOVES playtime, making him an ideal match for an active adopter ready to share his zest for life. He knows "sit," takes treats gently, and is very friendly toward everyone he meets. He enjoys being close, often placing his head in your lap for some love. Are you ready to be Brady’s forever friend and shower him with the toys, love, and stability he deserves? Eligible for rescue and adoption. Meet Brady at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Behavior notes: 01/23/25 staff notes: was going by kennel and Brady was eagerly wanting my attention, looking up at me with a big smile. I stopped and he jumped up on the kennel and tried to rub his head on my hand for pets. I can't imagine how much the pressure in his one eye is hurting him and yet he's still so sweet. 01/23/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Brady was laying on his bed when I approached. He jumped right up and came to the door with soft eyes and stress pants. He was easy to leash, and came right out once secured. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally to moderately, will walk with loose leash but when he pulls he is strong HANDLING : Brady was stressed when we entered the room. He paced around stress painting until I tossed some toys out for him. He loves toys! He mouthed at every one and traded easily. Brady knew “sit” and took treats gently. He was very friendly to staff members who walked in the room. He allowed all handling and liked to put his head in your lap. Overall, Brady is stressed here, but remains a fun loving, friendly boy! PLAY: Engages in play, gets jumpy TOYS Loves toys! Will play by himself or trade easily 01/22/2025 staff notes: Saw Brady in kennel with a large, heavy chain attached to his collar. He was friendly in kennel, but appeared to be very stressed. He would not cross the divider in his kennel, and seemed to be scared of the sound the chain made on the metal. He allowed for easy leashing, and pulled moderately to the office. We were able to get the collar and chain off easily, and he allowed some all over pets. He was a very good boy, and returned to kennel without any issue as well! 01/22/2025 staff notes: Dog was friendly when approaching and walked well on Leash. Allowed all handling. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. Story
Meet Shaka, a curious pup ready to find his way into a loving home! Shaka is an explorer at heart. He loves being outdoors, sniffing, playing, and chasing squeaky toys (his favorite). When Shaka is happy he’ll show off his signature back-leg toe taps when getting scratches. While he doesn’t actively seek attention just yet, he’s perfectly content hanging out nearby and is tolerant of all handling. If you’re looking for a relaxed, low-key buddy. Shaka be your guy! Eligible for rescue and adoption. Meet Shaka at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Video: Shaka plays: https://youtu.be/mw1dIuFc3q0 Behavior notes: Per Volunteer 1/25/25: Shaka greeted me with a wiggly body and was quite easy to leash! He pulled slightly on leash but was very easy to direct. Poor guy‘s tail is chopped off! He was shy outside at first and didn’t really come near me in the play yard. Also showed he wasn’t interested in treats. He liked toys and gave tail wags when I squeaked a squeaky toy! When the toy was out was the most wiggly I’ve seen him. Did well going into the volunteer office and back into kennel. Chill boy! 01/23/2025 staff notes: KNOWN HISTORY: Stray KENNEL PRESENTATION: Shaka came to the front of kennel with neutral/ semi soft eyes and a high tail. Allowed for easy leashing and exited the kennel without issue. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately HANDLING : In the room Shaka explored with neutral eyes and a neutral body, high tail nub. He came back over to us after sniffing around and allowed his main handler to pet his back remaining neutral and doing back leg toe taps when getting scratches. He showed interest in treats but would not take any. He did not solicit, but remained tolerant to all handling while out. PLAY: No interest TOYS Perks up at squeaky toys and will chase , but does not want to take possession Demonstrated high prey drive 01/22/2025 staff notes: Shaka is reactive in kennel- up on the door growling, hard barking Medical notes: 01/22/2025 medical staff noted: Dog will fall over when walking on leash. Underweight and possible pressure sores on tail. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. Story
Rehoming Our Sweet Carmel 🐾 I’m looking for a loving family to welcome my 1-year-old puppy, Carmel. He’s a bundle of energy and loves to play, so he’ll need someone who can give him the attention he deserves. Carmel was born from his mom, Gingie, who had a large litter of 9 puppies. We’ve been caring for him while waiting for the perfect family to come along. He’s crate-trained and is working on fully mastering house training — sometimes he makes little mistakes but always tries to use his pee pad. He’s very close to his brother, Tiger, as they grew up together, but unfortunately, with my busy career and the number of dogs I already care for, I can’t give Carmel the time he truly needs. He spends a lot of time in the cage, and he deserves more freedom and love than I can currently provide. If you or someone you know is ready to give this sweet boy a forever home, please reach out! He’s full of love and would make a wonderful companion for an active family.

Story
Meet Llama, a 1-year-old, 43-pound terrier mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! This happy, energetic girl thrives on playtime and treats. Llama absolutely adores running—she sprints like the wind and would excel in agility training with her love for jumping, leaping, and exploring. A fenced yard where she can stretch her legs is a must for this speedy pup!Llama is crate trained and excellent while crated. While she may softly whine at first, she quickly settles down and remains quiet. She enjoys the company of other dogs, showering them with kisses and inviting them to play. She does play hard and likes to be the boss, but if her playmate isn’t interested, she happily finds something else to do.This treat-motivated pup is eager to learn and already knows how to sit. She’s working on her manners, like not jumping up when excited or counter surfing for snacks. Llama loves squeaky toys and would make a great candidate for training in tricks or commands. Though she’s still a bit nervous on car rides, she’s willing to hop in and sit close to you for comfort while watching out the window. She does well on a leash and would benefit from regular walks and adventures.Llama’s enthusiasm, smarts, and loving personality make her an incredible companion for an active family. Story
Meet Blue Belle, a sweet and snuggly grey pittie with a heart as big as her personality! This two-year-old ray of sunshine has spent her entire life in a shelter after arriving as a puppy with cerebellar hypoplasia. But don’t let her diagnosis fool you—Blue Belle is all joy, all love, all the time! She’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel like it’s filled with hearts and rainbows.Dogs with cerebellar hypoplasia may have some motor skill quirks, but they’re not in pain and can live long, happy lives. For Blue Belle, her cute, high-stepping walk is the only clue she’s a little different—and she’s completely unfazed by it! She just needs a home with minimal stairs (she can handle a few and can use ramps too!) where she can safely enjoy all her adventures. She would do best in a mostly carpeted home as she slips a lot on hardwood.Blue Belle is not just adorable; she’s also a superstar! She’s mostly housetrained and so close to figuring out the doggy door—her foster family is certain she’ll get it soon! She loves her toys, happily entertains herself, and will do her best to climb into your lap for cuddles. At night, she sleeps quietly in her crate like a perfect angel, and during the day, she even pops in there on her own to relax. This lovebug would be thrilled to have a home where she can play, explore, and shed a few extra pounds to get to her goal weight. At 66 pounds, she’s aiming to lose about 10-15 pounds—and she’ll do it with her signature smile on her face. She does need some training after not growing up in a home. She is just SO excited to be inside and getting loved on that she needs to work on her manners. If you’re looking for a best friend who will fill your home with cuddles, laughter, and so much love, Blue Belle is your girl! Apply to meet her at bcaaofnj.org!Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Meet Gloria, your new fur-ever friend! She's a loving, gentle, and funny adult dog who would love to snuggle up on the couch with you. Gloria is affectionate and loyal, and she's curious about what's going on around her. She loves nothing more than walks & spending time with her people - what a good girl! Gloria is a friendly gal, though we don't know if she likes other dogs, so she would meet all the other pets in the household in order to create a slow transition. She is crate trained although can be left alone, housebroken and knows basic commands, which makes her the perfectly little hippo. If you're looking for a dignified and sweet friend, come meet Gloria! Please email adopt@pi4w.com for more info.
