Story
Shelby is a sweet, loving dog that loves attention. She makes the cutest snort sounds when she gets excited. She is very low maintenance- no need to go on daily five mile jogs with this girl. She wants to lay around and watch TV, have a snack and give you kisses as you tell her she is the most beautiful dog in the world! She rides great in the car, walks well on the leash and takes her treats gently.

UPDATED BIODOB: 4/13/24                          Ct Wht(as of 11/12): 35pds Adoption Fee: $275 includes 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Fully Vaccinated! Lego is crate trained and almost housebroken but we will send a belly band home with his new family. This is great in case he does start to potty it keeps property dry and protected.  Lego has turned into a well adjusted,  gentle,  sweet young pup looking for his forever family.  Lego came to us from the Nevada  Animal  shelter. He is a good looking puppy.  He has beautiful eyes. Lego loves other dogs and he loves playing with all sizes but the little ones..... under 20pds can sometimes be overwhelmed with his playfulness. He would be a great playmate for a medium or large size dog.  Lego loves water! He has to put his paws in the water dish if not watched.  We have a kid size plastic pool that he loves to play in.  Lego will do great with most any family. Lego definitely sounds more like a hound when he barks! Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.  Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Chief is a 5 year old with lots of love to give. He’s got an adorable smile that includes a little underbite and flashes it for all of his favorite people. He loves a good game of fetch and he won’t stop until you’re ready to be done. He also loves relaxing and loves to be close to people including kids. He would thrive best in a household that is home often and he’s able to get plenty of love and attention. He is house trained, used to his kennel, and does great with other dogs including our older one.

Story
Hi, I'm Mister Trooper! I am a young adult bully mix, but I am pretty atypical in that I am the most chill dog you will ever meet. My energy levels are low to moderate, I like to meander and take my time getting where I'm going when I am on a leash, but I do like to romp around a yard in good weather. I am an air conditioned dog designed to be handsome and hold your couch down. I might possibly have some special needs, but shelter staff are still investigating with the medical team. Don't leave this handsome face hanging, I'm longing for a big bed and family to call my own.

Story
Hi, I'm Chance! I am a large adult mix between an American Staffordshire Terrier and American Pit Bull Terrier. I am a gentleman who enjoys attention from people and likes children. I am available for meet and greets with other dogs, but I do not like intact males. Despite my sweet demeanor, I do have a history of chasing cats so I wouldn't fit into a home with small animals. I am easy on leash, house broken, and my favorite thing in the world is playing with balls! Tennis, squeaky, bouncy, big, small I don't care I love them! So the question is, do you have the balls to adopt me?
