Story
Hi!! I'm Penny Jo, but some of my friends call me PJ. I'm a happy, silly girl that just wants love and attention from my person. I LOVE toys, balls, ropes, and bones. When I'm not playing with my toys, I like to take a good cozy nap. I love to go for walks and play outside. I know basic commands like sit, down, shake and ask (bark). Basically, I'm like really smart. I am just a Meredith Gray trying to find her Christina Yang. I am in need of "my person" to make my days happier and for me to be your best friend in the whole wide world. I want to be by your side for all your accomplishments, your heart breaks, your little daily wins, and to help you pick out the perfect outfit. I am a polite girl and do tend to have difficulty when others aren't as polite with their introductions. So, a slow controlled introduction with other dogs works best for me! Overall, I am an awesome dog that wants to please her person. I take correction very well, am VERY smart and would love to learn more tricks! Apply today to meet me! Story
Location: Rock Rapids, IA Beast is such a sweet boy who just wants to spend his time laying in your lap napping. Be prepared waking him from his naps are almost impossible, he sleeps like the dead. He's such an easy going chill dude who's just "happy to be here." He gets along well with other dogs, kids of all ages and sizes and just loves attention. He does bark to let you know when someone has arrived or hears something unfamiliar so he'd do best in a home without shared walls. He's very smart and knows "sit", "paw" "other paw" and "lay down" I'm sure he'd be willing to learn any other commands or tricks you would want to teach him as well. Beast is not a fan of the cold so be prepared to spoil him with coats, sweaters and all the warmth during the winter months. Beast would make a wonderful addition to any family looking for a laid back family dog. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Age: Approximately 8 years old Weight: 67 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, needs slow intros as she's very excited Cat friendly: Unknown/not tested Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes but is known to escape Brooklyn was found in her fosters’ neighborhood as a stray, and had a large hematoma on her ear. Her beautiful golden eyes stole her fosters’ hearts. She has since gotten her surgery and has healed nicely. She is a super sweet dog who loves all humans and is amazing with the loud 2.5 year old boy living with her. So far she is good with more submissive dogs. She gets along great with her foster dog sister, and has shown no aggression toward the male dog living here too. she needs slow intros when meeting new dogs as she gets very excited to start her play session. She is fully potty trained, as well as knows her basic commands. She would benefit from some extra walks on leash to learn not to pull. It's just so exciting outside! She is great with kids. We have an almost 3 year old and she is fantastic. She has also met the older neighbor kids and was great with them too. We haven't met a human she doesn't like yet. At home she is very happy to meet new people. Will occasionally jump from excitement. She doesn't love to be in a kennel while you're gone. She's worried you won't come back! But she does great loose in the house while we're away. Brooklyn is excited to spend her later years with a nice family getting all the snuggles and kisses she can. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Clove – The Sweet, Sassy Bulldog! Clove is a bulldog with a personality as charming as her name! This affectionate girl is a fun mix of sweet and sassy, guaranteed to make you smile every day. She adores snuggling, playing fetch, and tug-of-war with squeaky toys – and yes, she thinks she’s a lapdog! What Clove Brings to the Table: Commands Superstar: She knows sit, lay down, down, stay (still a work in progress), kennel up, and come (when she feels like it – what a diva!). Treat Champion: She takes treats gently and loves all the praise that comes with it. Loves to Play: Whether it’s a game of tug or chasing after a toy, she’s all in! Clove’s Fun Quirks and Progress: Not a Fan of the Cold: She enjoys the great outdoors but would prefer a warm snuggle on chilly days. Loves to howl along with sirens on TV and is a fan of Nicki Minaj. House-Trained in Progress: She’s almost there and catching on fast with only a couple of accidents. Crate-Trained: Clove adjusts well to her crate with just a little initial whining (background music seems to help her relax). Still Polishing Skills: She’s working on leash manners (pulls when she’s excited), jumping up, and severe stranger danger around men and some dogs. She needs ongoing socialization and training to help her shine even brighter and very slow intros when placed in situations around men or dogs.   Medication:  Clove is on anti-anxiety meds to assist with her wariness around new or strange things. Click here , here , here , here and here to take a peek into Clove’s sweet personality. Her Ideal Family: Clove would thrive with a single woman who’s looking for a loving and loyal companion. Her best match will have no young children or other pets, though she might warm up to dog siblings with time and proper introductions. She’s curious about cats but doesn’t always know her own strength, so feline friends might need supervision. With patience, love, and continued training, Clove will become the most amazing partner in crime you could ask for. She warms up quickly to people she trusts and loves to know what her humans are up to. Once she’s by your side, she’s all in! Are you ready to make Clove a part of your life? This sweet, stubborn bulldog is sure to steal your heart!  Clove is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Grouse is a sweet big boy! He enjoys humans, and gets along well with his foster moms dogs. He saw a few cats at the impound he came from and did not seem bothered by them, but has not formally met any feline friends. He does not need to be in a kennel when alone,  as he is left to free roam in the home while his foster mom is away and does great! He is potty trained! This handsome dude would love to find a home of his own!    Grouse is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
