Story
Meet Misha the Magnificent, also known as Moo and Misha Moo by staff and volunteers. Misha has been at the shelter waiting for her forever family for WAY too long - almost two years! We love her playful spirit and all of the people who meet her will tell you she gives the best hugs. She loves princess castles, sniffy walks and squeaky toys. Ask any of our staff or volunteers and they will tell you she gives THE best snuggles after a walk. And naps? YES! Misha likes to keep her bed area clean with the exception of her many toys she likes to keep with her. This perfect princess would like to be the only pet in her new kingdom, which has made it a bit harder for her to make her way out of the shelter. She is truly a sweet and gentle soul who will make a WONDERFUL addition to a family that has time to snuggle with her, and her devotion to her 'people' runs deep. Misha is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Come meet Misha in person at the Kent County Animal Shelter.

Story
West is the Best! This handsome dude is a cool as a cucumber when it comes to exploring the world. Not one to over-excite with lots of noise and activity around him, taking walks is one of the things West enjoys the most! Not a frequent barker, he is one CHILL dude and a professional when it comes to car rides, just sitting there calmly and enjoying the scenery. He's a social charmer who likes meeting new people and wants to please his family. At 4 years old, he's well housetrained and behaves like a gentleman. West is currently living with a foster family, but he's ready to find his way to his own home, and make some serious bonds with the people who will love him forever! West is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered.

Story
Meet Marvelous Millie! Millie is another one of our long-term residents that has been waiting SO patiently for her family to find her. A staff and volunteer favorite, she does go out for field trips and overnights with glowing reports of good behavior upon her return. Millie is SMART - she knows how to sit, speak, wait and shake hands. Staff will tell you that she is motivated to learn and learns fast! Her favorite activities on field-trip days are snuggling on the couch and working on her perfect golden suntan! She is a great companion for walks and doesn't get overly excited with normal activities happening around her but does love to have some time to zoom around and play, too. She LOVES toys, LOVES to snuggle with her people, always wanting to have a paw on her person as a way of showing affection. Aside from her pile of favorite toys, Millie does keep a neat pen and doesn't tend to have 'accidents' on her field trips. She is SUCH a fun gal, its hard to believe she's been waiting this long for someone to see how truly awesome she is. Millie is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed.

Dapper Dante is one of the MOST handsome dudes around! This 4-year old staffie mix is one big dude (around 80 lb) but don't let that fool you - he's a big softie! This amazing superhero mutt wears his tuxedo wherever he goes and always has a big smile on his face. Just one gaze into his big brown eyes and you can see that this big ol' boy just craves affection and attention from his people. He is an active dog, loves playing catch and toting his toys around, but does calm down for some cuddles. Dante is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to head to his forever home!

Story
Marvelous Miss Marina is ready to show off her stuff! This 3-year old velvety princess just LOVES pets and cuddles. She has the softest fur and knows it! She is very treat motivated, making it relatively easy to teach her new things once a relationship has been established. She already knows a few basic commands, and smiles when she's happy. Very affectionate, and does great with meeting new people, but would do best in a family without other dogs. Marina is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to head to her forever home!

Story
Meet Max, a 7 month old medium sized fella weighing in at 30lbs, who may be the happiest guy you’ve ever met- he is excited for just about everything! Playing fetch in the yard? For sure! Taking a walk and meeting new people? Definitely! Snuggling up after a day of fun and play? You betcha. Max is just a happy guy who is ready to participate whole-heartedly in whatever his family is up to. With a little learning, he could potentially be a great running buddy! He’s an active boy who would love an active family, whatever the activity, and is an eager learner especially when treats are involved! Max does best with older children as he is still working on not jumping up in excitement and would do fine as an only dog but could do ok with other dogs who have lots of patience while he learns to read social cues.  He can also live successfully with dog-savvy cats! Max is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, neutered, microchipped and his adoption fee is $250. ##2122165##

Story
Bogie is a 63 pound, 1 year old Staffy Mix with a big squeezable block head and the best, most cuddly presence. He is a very relaxing and kind gentleman with the best heart. We love him. Some things about Bogie: he snores like a freight train, he’s easy going and walks nicely on a leash, he’s very well behaved, AND his foster Mama describes him ‘as sweet as a cup of hot chocolate’. Precious. Bogie is house trained, and he does well with other dogs and humans of all ages. Bogie is neutered and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $250. Beautiful Bouquet has eyeliner so perfect it would make Cleopatra jealous! She is SUCH a sweetie and has a lot of energy! She does tend to pull on the leash for the first few minutes of a walk and would need somebody to spend time training her, but with some consistency this could change. At age two she's out of the puppy stages, and at 50 lb she's a great medium- sized dog. Come pick up your Bouquet today! Bouquet is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on her vaccinations.
